sallam:
on my 31st Birthday (sunday 16 feb 2014) i managed to sneak a short (not as short as i expected) into the Margalla Hills to a very less know and under rated place called Pharila.....
Pharila is a small village on the top of the Margalla hills that can be rached either from Shahdara or Pir Sohawa....
i along with my firend Arsalan Mirza (AKA Master) planned it from Pir Sohawa side because Arsalan had been there in 1997 from Shahdara side and told me that trek was abt 10 kms from there (its actually a dogi kisam ke jeep trek on which IJC ppl have also been) so i thought it wud be shorter from Pir Sohawa side....
at around 10 am we started our trek from just a few Kms ahead of Pir Sohawa (opp to Higland Hotel) and crossing below Chirnari Tower on the jeep track reached Pharila Guest house at aorund 12.... its a staright (no real asend or desend) but long ... abt 6-7 kms i guess......
anyhow there is a CDA guest house there which is in good condition and an excelent place to camp with family even ....
i suggest that ppl from islamabad /pindi shud definitly visit this place
