Black Tinted Screen

Shades are the best solution. Can be removed anytime and are not illegal. Plus tinting the rear screen usually render the defogger non-operational. And removing tints from glass is a pain in the neck and usually leaves marks on the glass. I recommend shades to everyone instead of tinting.

they dnt care if u hav a permit, theyr still gna remove the tints........ specially if u r near a locked up location (police station, embassy, blah blah blah) :p. tint the mirrors but like i said, 25% 50% 50% is the best

the rear window tint will not affect the rear defogger when it is put on the screen from the inside. its only when ur removing the tint that the defogger may be damaged. the police wala just screw off the papers and then ur defogger's gone. if dne carefully the defogger may be saved.

Well I would like to add few words here...

It's bin 2 years more my car is tinted nearly 80% tinted back and sides.(last year got permit from home ministry for black tint)
No plate on the front only at back original

I go Lahore, islamabad, abbottabad and car weekly is driven in peshawar all most every whr & a very very few times em stoped by any police man in 2 years more time

Islamabad never stoped. Remmeber no front plate and tinted glasses I think it's my luck..

Whn I didn't had any permit I was only asked about my driving licence and ID card a few times in my city only
No fine yet

When I felt that I should have a permit , i appiled for it got it and then I feel more comfortable driving my car with black tinted glasses

My point is saying it's ur luck and ur attitude of talking to the other person..
I gv respect and that's all and em free to go always ...

defogger cleans up the fog from your car.

^^exactly my point.... having a permit wont mean ul always get away with the tints. if the cops r in a bad mood, ur dead..... however not having a permit dsnt mean theyr always gna remove the tints.... convince them into seeing ur id and explaining to them sme things bla bla and ur free to go:D

ever seen those horizontal lines in the rear screen of a car????? well theyr used to defog the rear window. simply put its a heater for the rear screen. if the rear screen gets foggy, misty or covered with snow, the defogger will just remove them

my car is already tinted
the current ones have faded very much and this time i am going for a little expensive tints that's why i'm confused about the rear screen. tinting from outside ruins the paper before time.

bro it depends on the person u puts the tints,before selling my cars i usually make it bone stock so even after tkng off tints my defogger work pretty well they r destroyed when they scratch ,dnt let them scratch ask to whipe it off wid petrol or some solution they have

The person who tinted the rear glass cut up the heating element print on the glass, You can test it with a multimeter.

The people tinting glass in Pakistan use the cheapest of tools and techniques and the cheapest paper. Bad in every sense.

bro my car passes from almost ol cantt checkposts nd few near mall road etc ....i often drive my toyota without plates...bcs the plates often get off the car nd then i dnt get tyme to fix them up so the car roams around a week or more without plates
about the permit thing it depends on what reason u have got a permit i dnt have a permit but every checkpost person knows tht this person has a permit bcs i drive like a turtle from checkpost unlike other who have tints try to rush fast so those people get trapped

i noticed today,my car already has tints on each screen incuding whole front screen and even the sun roof but i think its 25%,as its very light + there are round oily sort ofspots on rear,front and on sun roof tints and i dont like em :S
n i dont know if my rear screen has tint from inside or outside :@ damn where em i stucked with defogger now

There is a conductive paint that repairs the grid lines in the defogger, its available for Rs 2000/- for a small 10 ml vial - you mask the area to be painted and apply with a nail polish brush. It will restore the defogger performance.

If you scratch the defogger - you kill it - simple as that.

if ur defogger is not working when u put up the tints from the inside, then just like Xulfiqar said, the person cut the element with the blade they cut the sheet with.

cops take 200 Rs for having shades on the cars too... trust me i know =/ it happend xDD

i thought to use shades but might get it tinted,thinking of all 4 100% leaving the rear one cox of defogger + night time visibility about which no1 mentioned if it gets effected or not

btw its civic with sialkot number so far they didnt stopped it on any check post cox of different city registration but how much are the chances of them stopping it with tints cox of no isl number n tints
