i am having rather a strange problem.
i have changed all shocks, and all seem quite good and make no noise, i also got my alignment done today but it remains.

The problem is when i apply sudden brakes, a 'tukk' sound comes from front, my idea is from front right.
there is also low sound of 'kurr.. kurrr..' when the car is being driven, i tried to see if sound is coming from shocks , but couldn't replicate any.

i got front suspension inspected by the allignment guy, he said its fine. Only one bush of cross member 'gadri' seemed to be done

i cannot locate the origin of noise, any idea from where it could be generating?

Dry Bushes .... Or Some Loose Engine Mount Or Your COntrol Arm Main Bush Loose....It Can Be Tricky To Locate

Can Be Your Cross Member Bush Also...Locating These Sounds Are Quiet Hard As It Can Be Any Part....

Shocks Usually Make SOund When They Are Done And You Hit A Bump Or Some Speed Breaker And Hear A "DHAAAAG" Hitting Noice....Tha'ts Shock....Or You Go On Speed And Your Car Become Jumping JACK And Unable To Stabilize Are Also Reason Of Leaked Shocks

Have you had the floors, pillars, strut towers checked for any cracks or rotten patches? Cracked portions can make a similar sound as well when exposed to flex.

Just Give Your Suspension A Through Inspection...Its Def Something Loose/Worned In Suspension....COntrol Arm...Bushes...Dry Ball Joints...

Drive It Also In Bumpy Bad Road To Check It More ......

most likely the upper shock mount(s) is cracked, raise the front and check for any FREE lateral movement on both the shock absorber.

4age started to tear off my charades body( inside fender near gear ) causing tuk sound as being mentioned. Got it reinforced by my denter

Inspect your car's front wheel move front & back when you apply hard brakes. It can be done on slow speed while somebody outside watching them. Get the "MUKKI" (don't know the exact English word) inspected where control arm is bolted. It may have developed cracks.

Recent my AE80 sounded same, over several diagnosis, it was finally found that MUKKI has got cracks, which were making THUK THUK sound on slow speed and during brakes.

Just my guess!

nops sir, this does not seems to be the case

I would still recommend you to park it at a ramp and closely monitor all the joins and floors especially at the front. It may not have been caused by rust but the torque from the engine often causes lots of flex on the chassis which could cause the joints to crack. Just have it checked for peace of mind Also, if you do find any cracks, after getting them fixed, do consider reinforcement through braces.

Never Do That.....No Desi Zubaida Appa Totkey Of Kerosine Diesel Spray..It Will Make Rubber Swell And Go Bad ...No WD-40 Also...Its Also Petroleum Based...No Petroleum Based Product Actually

Best Is To Hit It With Soapy Water To Get Dryness Away.....Silicon SPray Or Grease Is Recommend ..Not Easy To Get Hands But You Can Try
