Actually I have removed Thermostat Valve in summers due to overheating as it was not opening completely and couldn't find new one of same part number so I left it as it is
In my case when I filled water for flushing after draining old the heater did not blow hot Air until needle reached around mid. But this happens only once then after every time heater starts to blow hot air on starting engine
This is normal
Heater works like your engine radiator. Unless its hot the air wont be warm.
But this happens only for the time the system is filled next time heating start just after startup
One more thing I have noticed is even after 3 flushes whenever I open the radiator cap there is an oily film on surface of water though its very slight but its there...is this an indication of failing head gasket??? The machanic says its ok

I think no. its not the cause of failing gasket. you didnt put the coolant yet in the car ?
Not yet. Abhee flushing chal rahi hai aik baar aur flush kr k phr daalna hai coolant aur 3rd bottle abhee pohanchi nahi
