Always wanted to have Nice Bigger Alloy Rims in my 7th Gen Civic But never installed anything bigger than 205/65/R15 b/c never wanted to destroy the suspension , affect fuel avg and pick of the car .. Recently bought this 8th gen Civic but again due to these reasons went for 15" advanti alloys , After spending so much on the extras still some aggressive look was missing , so finally decided to install 17" ultra light weight alloys with new Tyres ..
These are original Advanti Light weight Alloys and Tyres are brandnew Accelera 215/50/R17 (Indonesian Brand )
Drive wise , since i was previously using eurostars , it is now more comfortable with notceable cushioning effect on bumps as compared to eurostar 15" but obv u cant compare the comfort with 15" advan decibel or michellin energy saver , But still the drive is good , havent checked the fuel avg , In top gear at a speed of above 80km/hr the Rpm needle now shows around / near 2k rpm , with 15" it shows 1.5 max so obv i have a feeling the avg will get affected but not tht much
Pick is still awesome
Grip is tooo Good , No vibrations at 180km/hr , infact i really enjoyed driving this R18 at 180km/hr for the first time today , had a race with 1.6 ALTIS auto this past saturday , gave him atleast 15 cars gap and smoked him badly , the car was stable at 155km/hr on a curvy road and i really enjoyed the handling and grip of reborn for the first time , before this i always thought 2005 VTi Oriel was better in grip and handling ..
I have also installed VTi Oriel's Side Mirrors with indicators
Mechanically : Got the Engine Mount changed in warranty from Honda , and changed the Brake Pads ( all four ) had a very busy weekend with My lovely Blue Max Civic
