^ thnx, don't know how good/ quick I was, an older M3 and Golf GTI overtook me during the quick run, can't say if they were souped up or not. Even though had the M5 (it was 1995 E34) for over 7 years as my daily car (1998-2006), I had never pushed it to the limit before than. Yes off course, straight line acceleration runs were plenty. But Nurburgring was so different, up and down, right n left and lap just goes on and on for 20km. Mine had the programmable Nurburgring suspension, so that helped a lot as well.
Really loved that experience. would have loved to do lots more, but had to save the car, as I was living in UK then and was on a three week round trip of Europe with my family, and obviously had to keep car intact for the drive through remaining two countries we were visiting as well as returning back to UK.
The video of my Lap is not uploaded anywhere, as its on an old Video Tape camera, have never done any conversion to digital so far and also would need editing because of the family in it. Maybe one of these days I will get the motivation to do it all, will surely upload the link here then!
