The bus stop shelters are exactly like what we have here in Islamabad. many commonalities between Bombay and Pakistani Cities besides the fact that we have limited variety of cars.

Thanks, Horse_rider. Bombay and Karachi are strikingly similar, not so sure about the similarities between BOM and Islamabad though. I know that certain cities in Pakistan have proper bus transit systems, but I'm not sure which ones. Are these city-bus systems government controlled and operated?

In Islamabad, these are not govt operated, these are privately operated govt controlled, route numbers are assigned. all the govt employees are using the govt buses and mostly Toyota Hiace for office conveyance. we don't have electric buses, and AC buses for general public operated by the govt. rather general public or private employees uses own conveyance or private route vehicles to their private or non-govt offices.

Man, the 4 crazy monsoon months throw everything out of gear, including the city's road system. Some potholes are the size of craters on the surface of the moon, and that is something that needs to change asap. A lot has changed, but as far as roads are concerned, we still have some catching up to do.
