Well one thing i noticed that there are no Indian Shaped cars that are seen in Movies with red light. Everyone modern cars. Until now I thought India used those cars by choice to promote local industry. India is establishing itself very well
Most Indian bureaucrats still use the old laal batti waali Hindustan Ambassador for official duties. Quite frankly, I wish there were more Ambassadors around... They're quite cool and extremely comfortable IMO. It would be great if our city taxis were all Ambassador rather than the rubbish peddled by the likes of Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki.
@Bombaywalla and why is that. I suppos that car is carby. non fuel efficent as seems from its aerodynamics but well you have a point it represents Inda. As in UK cabs have their traditional looks but are comfortable

Ambassadors are available ONLY in mpfi and CNG variants, after the Indian government banned carbureted engines in most parts of the country. I think HM should introduce a fully updated version of the Ambassador with updated safety features etc.
