Have tested my Vezel 7.6 to 8.5 seconds on a flat road, regular fuel

Have tested on two Z-trims and neither would do better than 8.7sec for my conditions.
Maybe the X-trim would do a little better, since it has 16 inch wheels compared to the 17s in Z

Mine is a 2015 Z. You just have to make sure to clean the engine from carbon as its direct injection

Altis is a Sedan how it can be compared with mini crossover.

@Nabs thanks for sharing insights. Would you please share your experience for following constraints?

1. Whose back seats are more comfortable, specially for 2 adults and 2 kids at the back?
2. My budget is around 3 M and I either can have an older model of Grandee or Veezel. I don't have much problem with suspension but what about overall maintenance, parts' availability, mechanics' philosophy towards both vehicles? Which one's maintenance is cheaper than the other?
3. I personally like the design Veezel but I want to make a careful purchase that's why looking for an honest opinion.
4. I can't have latest models of both vehicles so there is no question of after sales services in Grandee for me.
5. I also considered Nissan Juke but having customer feedback, I concluded that there would be an issue of parts. There are is very narrow leg space for back seaters so I just withdrew my consideration.
6. Apart from these two vehicles, what do you think about Yaris ATV 1.3? Is it a value for money vehicle despite being smaller in length and width than GLI.?

1. Vezel seats are much more comfortable.
2. You will be chasing mechanics if any problem occurs in Vezel. This forum is filled with people asking for good Vezel mechanics. Except regular maintaince, filters etc, parts availability is an issue and they are much more expensive than Grande and you will have to import them if you can't find in local market.
3. I also think Vezel looks more attractive.
4. Don't know about Juke
5. Yaris is an okay vehicle, nothing special, but its a new launch so its model will not change for some time. Current gen Corolla in Pakistan will be changed soon, search "Corolla 2021" on Google.

Maybe its prob in your car or is a problem below 2017 models of vezel. Mine 2017 model switches from electric to engine without any jerk. To know if its on electric or engine you need to look at mid.
Before vezel i bought aqua 2016 model, and there was noticeable power reduction on shift from electric to engine. But suspension is very comfortable in aqua.
Note: both are refurbish not 2nd hand.

Great to see the discussion, indeed the pros & cons need to be assessed by ones own requirement.
However one feature that has always made me skeptical of corolla is car theft. Even in islamabad, a grande is "gone in 60 seconds" in areas like I-8, I-9, G-13 etc. So cant take the risk of losing "all", will do with a stiff suspension that stays with me

So people here are comparing vezel with grande or civic which is okay.In the end of last year i was planning to upgrade my car from city 2015 to someother car.I had 4 choices
1.B-RV
2.Civic X
3.Grande facelift
4.Vezel
I have had grande in my house in 2017-2018 so i was pretty sure about its drive.My dad refused to get Civic as he thought that every other person has civic x and where ever you rotate your head you see a civic, plus my dad wanted a car in which he could easily sit in and get out.My parents were 100% sure to go brv.But i absolutely hated that car.No doubt it is a good mpv but it is no different than honda city in terms of drive and comfort.Plus we were only 4 people in the family so we weren’t even going to use that last row seats.
So i was just walking on my street and saw a beautiful Vezel in the purpulish grey colour and it looked amazing from far away and then my mind clicked that vezel is also available in my budget.So i told my parents about vezel and they were convinced so we started searching the car.We found one which was kept with extreme care.It was driven 75k and was a 2015 model ,2017 imp and reg.It was the XL package AWD and my dad also really wanted the awd varient.So we went to see the car.The guy had written that it was a Z pkg as it had the 17 inch rims but those were changed.it originally came with 16.But the car was amazing it has the orange interior,heated seats and every possible feature except dual zone as it is only available in Z pkg.I still have the car and it is amazing so far.BTW forgot to mention that it is the red wine colour and is ceramic coated due ti which it looks absolutely stunning under the sun MashaAllah.
The drive is great i have driven it 12k uptil now and had alot of long route journey to my village and islamabad from lahore and the car is going amazing so far.I would highly recommend you to first have a drive of the car and then it is upto you.
The performance if the car is amazing.
If there is some one trying to overtake on motorway going way over the speed limit,i just press the pedal down and even in eco mode it absolutely destroys altis 1.6 and city 1.5 by a great distance.
Haven’t had a one on one with civic or grande but i think off the line vezel crushes them but after that the big displacement kicks in and after 120 grande and civic goes off.

Exactly, vezel has 160 bhp and with an electric motor and the responsive 7 speed DCT, it gives instant torque and has much more power than Civic/Corolla.

I agree with you however in power a vezel doesn't slow down after 120, its quicker than 1.8 local cars even more than Sportage which is 2.0, as well as MG HS.

Achaaaaa,many of my friends told me that after 120-140 vezel cant catch up with other big displacement cars as I haven’t seen any 1 on 1’s between vezel and grande or civic after 120.I have only seen the ones that go from 0-120 but in that vezel absolutely crushes these cars.Wether it be MG,sportage,civic,grande or even a revo.

This is true for hybrids since electric motor can put down all the torque very quickly, giving it an acceleration advantage. This can be felt in Aqua and Prius as well. And Vezel has a powerful electric motor.

Is it true that Vezel variants are tuned differently, and Vezel RS has significantly (more than 1 second) faster acceleration than Vezel Z and X?

Vezel is fast throughout its speed range, and no the RS is actually slower than Z and X due to slightly larger and heavier wheels, it has 18s vs Z which has 17s and X has 16s but those two are comparable in wheel weight.

not sure about in pakistan if there are any but RU1 (non hybrid vezel) comes in 1.5, and 1.5 Turbo (same as civic turbo) but 182hp

And in some markets e.g. Australia and USA there is a 1.8 as well. No turbo in 1.8 option.
