BR-V S (comparision with Altis 1.6) and everyday driving thoughts after 3 weeks

Both cars come with General tires 195/60. The road grip not good as you can expect from General (all variants are bad IMO). ABS helps a lot in both cars. Both have a high center of gravity so handling is a bit tricky. However the true test is when you check the brakes or the handling of the car while swerving at high speeds. In Altis if you are driving on a curve at >70KM/hr and you press hard on the brakes, the back of the car skids and the car swerves completely out of control. The same did not happen with BR-V around the same speeds. Corolla swerving is an issue in this Gen. (hence the vehicle stability control in Grande). BR-V felt more stable and has better handling if compared 1 on 1. These opinions are only based on my experience. Hope that answers your questions

The only gripe I have with this car is the narrow body, three people in the middle row have to fight for shoulder and hip space, where as city has a bit more width in the middle,
but it has better legroom than freed (read fareed),

one question though
whats the maximum cruise speed at less than 3000rpms
120 or more?

Honda brv is 40mm wider than city than how come middle row is narrow in BR-V?

i have measured the width of both from the widest points, city has about 0.5 inches more width.

Good info, I have experience brv drive is more smooth having better road grip & control on road,Honda brv is a car to have regardless of number of people,it's price range is also ok,AC solid with rear vent, comfortable sofa seats,I think this car can perform very well in Pakistan market if Honda focus much on it,such as few updrades needed as found in India brv.

I dont think we can compare it with honda india as such, they have their own setup for the indian market. Their accessories for eg like center arm rest, front and rear protectors etc are only part of honda india. These are not offical Honda Access accessories, which is standard accros the other markets (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan).

Specs wise the the local brv does seem on par with indonesian brv. However Mayalsia and thailand get extras like push start, smart entry, hill start assist and VSA. Of course honda atlas must cheap out and only include 1 airbag instead of 2 for the front.

Malaysia get proper DRL functionality on the headlight, while other markets its just a parking light (like we have). DRL is available as an accessory (installed in the bottom front bumper black trim) from Honda Access for other markets.

Modulo accessories wise ( from honda access) at least honda atlas offer most of what is available officially.

Has anybody taken BR-V to Murree or to Naran. I would love his input in this matter.

I am thinking of buying it but somebody told me not to as the last seats are horrible. Actually we are six people and I need an extra seat. So what can I buy if not BR-V.

Please inform how its gearing worked on the road to Naran especially in those places where due to low oxygen level, normal cars can only drive on 1st gear

I visited babusur top on my brv in July this year with 6 family members.no such problems car was smooth never feels underpowered I have only used d and s mode didn't used L mode more than 1 or 2 times hardly.
