Where the engine does fall short, however, is while going uphill. From a dead stop, it takes a while before you can generate momentum up a steep incline. It’s not until it roars around the 3,000rpm mark upward that it really gets going, which is not ideal if you’re fuel-conscious.

A very underpowered vehicle brv plus a price tag of 25 lakh makes it too expensive

look at the price tag of avanza 35 lac, and look at price tag of auto cultus 15lac.
brv is value for money, it worth this amount in Pakistan.

And more so if you are living in lahore the token tax is 23,000.

Keep it for 5 years and you will have paid around 1,20,000 as token tax.

this is the main problem for me as we usually buy and then keep cars for more than 5 years.

BRV develops 118 bhp and toyota is introducing Rush with 1.5 engine producing 103 bhp. So when Rush will come here, actually it will be underpowered as compared to brv.

brv has 145 nm torque and Rush has 136 nm torque.

This may be defined as the pushing / pulling power. Also surprisingly in some sites they say that Rush is rear wheel drive.

i was thinking to wait for Rush and buy but it is under powered as compared to brv and also as it is going to be imported as Completely Built Units, it will be more expensive than brv. but if the token tax is less than brv and difference of 1- 2 lacs then one can go for it. because we all know that toyota is stronger than honda any day, and also that resale value would be better even though rush is 1.5 inches lesser in width. Definitely you could seat only 2 persons in the middle row

Hi everyone.

i purchased BRV manual recently. some problems I noticed were

1. somewhat tight middle seats but with more leg room
2. Engine noise when rpm is high
3. Road noise coming inside the car at 80 km plus speed

However the manual is quite powerful and difference from my old corolla 1.3 2008 model is clearly visible. also it is more smooth and EXTRA SEATS.

Bhai careful. To call 1.6 Altis transmission "jerky" will make you liable to be called a kaafir here by few members been there, done that. Few even said "it's silky smooth" ....lol....so I finally kept quiet and could only smile

I took a look at BRV, it didn’t meet the comfort and handling requirements I was looking for, so went for Civic 10th gen. Loved that car till problems started appearing, even though I bought it new. Got rid of it and went for Sportage.
