Brake light engages late

Salam,
Well i have plans for a couple diy's which include installing a high mount brake lamp to improve brake light visibility
but the thing is the brake light engages late i.e when i press the pedal to almost half
it is pretty dangerous so i want change the lights timing
I did some goolge searches and got to know that there is a switch on the pedal ( but mostly the cars were German or American)
so i wanted to know how do i change timing on my Corona ?

look beneath your dashboard where the pedal hinges - the switch is right there. Adjust it to where you want.

The switch is between the upper part of the brake pedal and the firewall. There is an adjustable nut there. Should be a simple job.

^^^ um that adjustable star nut (between lever and firewall) is to set the clearance of the booster engagement pin in the master cylinder.

ok i got underneath the dashboard and saw this switch ( i think this is it )

but it wont budge
