Brake Pads in Karachi for Prius 2nd gen

AOA and Eid Mubarak Pakwheelers!

Can you guys please recommend which brake pads should I get for Prius 2nd gen? I have the option of genuine (too expensive), MK and Leppon. I would also appreciate any leads on where can I get genuine parts for this vehicle in Karachi as I require shockers and brake shoes as well.

Buy genuine ones and have them installed properly with the right kind of grease on the sliders and the pad ears and backer shims - dont let the idiot with tools slather on "bearing wali grease" on your brake caliper parts.

They are very long life parts in prius anyway as most of the braking is done from transmission

I would suggest to contact a pro level workshop as it will be high time to change the brake fluid too - and its not a manual pumping job to bleed/flush it.

Prius needs toyota techstream to bleed and flush brakes. Whether the shop says toyota outside or tasalee buksh outside

Nd then they change the whole abs unit when the issue cud be resolved with scanner based bleeding,

Go for hitachi brake pads, the toyota u wud get in open market hav mix of fake nd originals, wud be difficult for u to spot out.

Even the toyota 3s here doesn't know difference between shim grease nd caliper pin grease, let alone bleeding of prius with software.

So why dont the onwers contact the jdm used car salesman that said “its toyota - kabhi kharaab nahi hogi” and “iss ke parts aur mechanic bohot hain”

Did those salesmen lie?

People say they are jannati, darbaari, farishtay.

Owner might want to show the mechanic the auction sheet claiming its a trouble free car forever.
