Brake Problem in my Cultus Non Efi

Hi guys;

Its Mohammad Wasim from Faisalabad. Actually i have 2007 CULTUS NON EFI. I am feeling some problem in Brake paddle. What i feel when i try to press (Some time)brake then Paddle feel so hard and i could not press this. But when i stopped the car and then after restarting i checked again the paddle, then its works fine (i can press). Please can anybody suggesst what should i check.

One thing more i want to share, i am in the habit to press first clutch paddle then the brake paddle. Please let me know if this is the cause???

As you know this is very dangerous issue so please try to give me suggestions as soon as possible so that i should contact with the mech. and try to correct it. Thank you in advance

clutch has nothing to do with it..

chk the pipe from brake cylinder to air intake.. chk brake vaccum cylinder (the black drum thing) for leaks..

how long has this been the problem?

Bleed ur brake lines there could b air or if u dont have replaced brake fluid for two years than replace ur old fluid with new one.

This has nothing to do with the problem you are facing.

Please provide more information. i.e:

• when did you changed the break pads last. ?

• Which company pads were they ?

• From where did you replaced the pads. ?
• More info for little details on the rooter condition.

theres a rubber pipe that goes from the black drum type thingy to the carburettor.
it helps to create a vaccum in the drum as the carburettor sucks the air out of it..

good vacum means your brake pedal will be softer to push.
if its leaking than brake pedal will be hard.. similar to if you push the pedal when the car is not started.

Probably there is an issue with the master cylinder. But before you change that check the brake booster first.

Probably there is an issue with the master cylinder. To check if the master cylinder is working or not wat u do is;

1)Raise the front end of ur vehicle with a jack.
2)Start the vehicle and then pump the pedal a few times until it gets
hard.
3)Try to rotate the wheel with ur hands. If its jammed/hard then it means
u need to change the master cylinder.

dear brother i was reading this thread and felt to explain you a bit.
Master cylender and brake drums are different things.
Master cylender is concerned with brake padal whereas brake drum is associated with wheel.
Master cylender pushes brake oil with the help of your foot (brake padal) input,further oil goes to lines and towards the brake caliper/leather reagon,in many vehicles there is another wheel cylender(i 'll post its pic soon) which forces its two pistons outward from both ends which further pushes leathers to creat resistence in drums and in front wheels pushes calipers to catch the disc.

i know about the brake components.. just dont know the proper word for that black short fat cylinder thing behind the master cylinder. that creates the vacuum.. booster or something its called maybe
