there is a solution to mehran brakes. you can go to a good and experienced mechanic and he will install a brake booster (servo)from alto or any other aftermarket one that is suitable.
the cost estimate in between 2500-3000. after the job, if done properly the brakes will be almost like the ones of Alto 1000 cc.
BTW many people have tried this on their mehrans and this is a successfull thing.

install servo.easily available in bilal ganj.they have the installer aswell.As for the resale,i think it will increase because it's an increment from virtualty no safty to somewhat real safty...

I GOT MY MEHRAN 1992 BRAKES MODIFIED WITH COURE'S. THEY WORKED REALLY FINE AND INCREASED BRAKING LOT. USED THEM FOR FOUR YEARS AND THEY NEVER GAVE ANY TROUBLE.

Hi All .............

My cousin owns a 93 Mehran & the brakes are such that if u press it one time u'll be pushed off ur seat,

Press it 2 times u'll be out of the front screen.

Yea,the FF brakes are crap-I agree.My cousin only replaced it back in 2005 with the best (& most expensive) discs & drums available in the market.

Any further experience,guys.

Dear the easiest way is to put wider tyres and if u r used to it, u can stop mehran.
I have been using mehran for couple of years with 165 tyres and they are not that bad.

i have a personal experience of servo (power booster) in mehran long times back. u ll notice a clear difference in braking quality. u dont have to push your paddle hard. just test drive a cuore, it will be like the same...

so it is advisable to get the booster
