As-salamulaikum all.
Got a brand new clutch / pressure plate / bearing set installed in our 2003 corolla xli some days back because the previous one was now over 150k km driven and had started slipping. Now the issue is, ever since the new clutch set has been installed, though the clutch stopped slipping, the car has become very sluggish and the revs just keep high when accelerating whereas, the car doesnt accelerate as it used to. The engine is revving smoothly and as quick as it used to but the car is not accelerating quick enough. Though the car doesnt have an rpm meter (one of the earlier corollas) but you can hear that the engine is at higher revs than before even at normal driving. It feels as if the clutch isnt bitting into the flywheel properly. Because of this issue, the fuel consumption has also gone up. What could be the issue and any possible remedy?
Thank you.
Please note that the clutch, pressure plate and the bearing are genuine Toyota parts.
