Brand new picanto vs passo/ vitz

Assalam o Alaikum
i currently own grande 2017, which i am planning to sell as my family is going out of country for a year and i will be the only one to use the car here in Pakistan.
previously we had plan to buy elantra or grande x( zero meter) but this plan is delayed till Aug- sept 2023.
now i want to buy a hatchback for a year or so. My only concern is resale and comfort of the car ( mainly resale). Do passo/ vitz have a good resale value. If i buy a car ranging from 33-35 with 3.5 grade and drive with utmost care, will it depreciate in a year??
or should i go for zero meter picanto?

GL CVT Swift is an ideal buy IMO.

Picanto doesn't justify 3.2 million price tag. A fresh Passo and Vitz go beyond 3.6 million

sir i know grande is better in every aspect
but my current situation demands downgrading to a hatchback for a year.
Ultimately i will buy a sedan ( brand new inshaa Allah) within a year
i just want to ask, if i buy a vitz will its price decrease within a year ??

Unless your current car is really eating your money or you live and work where that has parking issues, if you are going for Vitz, with the same price range, you can have a Yaris that will be a much more reliable choice. You will not save money getting a Vitz since both have similar running costs yet share the same platform unless you really need a hatchback for a single person and really trust a mechanic who knows how to work on Vitz that would be fine.
