I see
Firstly your idea is false, the torque applied to the caliper bolts does not affect the bite of the brake.
The bite being affected due to assembly issues is mostly due to a kinked brake hydraulic hose at the wheel. The other (less than 5%) issues are supremely cheap brake pads with unfinished ears installed in pad carrier.
Hoping that you have not installed new pads on an old glazed disc.
If you are curious enough to come up with such an idea, Im sure you can remove a wheel and inspect the brake assembly yourself.
