Innalillah-e-Wa inna alehe raajeoon...
I was not there to see what happened, but what I am seeing here is that all of us have started a blame game debate. For God's sake forget these pity issues. How could have the driver helped anyone? This doesn't seem to be a normal accident. Normal accident ho to banday k hosh urr jatay hain. Secondly, if the number plates were removed so that the owner could not be identified; that's lame. It was an organized event and the participants must have been registered before. Third, all the spectators went over there on their own will and they must be aware of the circumstances, how can the blame be put on anyone.
There were no traffic rules, and yes no safety barriers as well. But I am sure even if there would have been any, our "qaum" would have crossed them just to get a better angle for there cameras.
Accidents happen all over the world in these kind of sports. Either, don't have these kind of activities in your country.
I don't know who the driver was personally. But it could have been anyone... And I also don't know who the victims of this accidents are. Again, they could have been anyone. I know many people over here might disagree with me and yes maybe I would have been saying something else if God forbids one of my close ones would have been one of the victims. But the point is, why do we have to blame anyone and so early, just listening to the rumors. We even don't have the facts right now.
Instead, what you can do is that all of you try to go to the families of the victims and try to console them. Participate in the Namaz-e-Janaza of the departed souls. And advise on how can we prevent such accidents. I am sitting far far away and I know how bad am I feeling, one by hearing the news and two, by looking at how some people are fighting.
May Allah give strength to the families of the dead ones to cope with their loss. Everyone who reads this post please say Fateha for the brothers who lost their lives. It wont take long...
Stay blessed. Drive safe.
