the organizers of the event are at fault as well as Bahria for giving out the road for racing.. this is like a normal street race scene can't be called organized because a couple of cloth banners on wooden sticks are not going to stop a car from plunging into the crowd... people shouldn't have gotten so close but why blame them when it was thought to be perfectly safe at that distance?? also if i ever go to a racing event again i'll make sure to be ready to jump out of the way when the guy goes out of control...

in this case the safest place for people was closest to the starting line and further out higher speed=more risk

Well I think its not Majid's fault. Every person has a fixed time of birth and death and it was the time of these unexpecting martyrs. WE should pray for the people who lost their lives in this dreadfull incident. We feel sorry for their families and all those people who are affected by this incident. In my opinion if Majid can afford a Supra with 800 HP, He should pay a compensation to the affected families.
Now, it's a lesson for those of us who think they are hard enough to watch the show at the front as if it's a fly-by movie scene they are going to be in a movie. We should always leave enough room for error incase things go wrong. Always stay behing the boundaries and listen to the safety instructions.

This day would always be remembered as one of our bad memories.

Since the day first on PW i was telling this fool, he will get nothing but death by what hes doing... he never listened... my relatives were there to see the race not to participate in it... Only i know what the family is going thru right now...

I fully sympathise with u and hope that Allah gives the family of the deceased strength to get over this difficult time. but think rationally, why are u blaming the driver? if he was driving on normal street with traffic then i would agree with u. but this was not the case. i was not at the event but i have seen dozens of videos at youtube and it is very clear that management asked people to stay behind nala. and from the crash u can see that the car infact didnt cross the nala, so the organisers did try to make the race safe. if a spectator jumped infront of ,say, Lewis Hamilton's car during an F1 race then who would u blame?!! on a road u dont drive like a maniac coz there is traffic and people might jump onto road, but in a race, where there is security and organisers and people who know that track must be kept clear, u push the metal to the pedal. it is not driver's fault or the organisers fault. they asked people to stay behind the nala and majid car didnt cross the nala which proves that the management was good at assessing the risk involved and calculating correctly that the cars would bump into nala and not go any further. why did people jump over the nala despite repeated warnings?? in every video that i saw of different races (that were held before this tragic incident) you could hear organisers screaming on top of their microphones to ask people to stay off the tracks and behind lines. people didnt bother to listen. our awam always thinks that they are too clever. and about majid running away, well i support him in that else the mob mentality would have taken over and he would have lost his life as well. why are people asking him to pay compensation?? he raced at an organised event where he knew that spectators would not come on the road and stay were they are instructed to. Please think rationally. I understand ur feelings coz u lost relatives in an accident but blaming their deaths on someone who is not responsible is not the way to go.
I am in so much shock after seeing the crash videos that I can hardly get any sleep. I feel for the family of the victims. and may Allah grant them all a place in heaven. Amen.

ye bhi to socho na ky it was decided that this will be spot and this will be the time and they must be there, by all means, so how they cant be, even MAJID's car or anything else....

this was not an official race. those killed were not on the road. the driver lost control , therefore the driver is the one to get blamed.

why the hell every body is blaming this on Allah. Like Allah ki marzi & mot ka waqt.

If some body commit suicide he Denies Allah, if somebody kills somebody he disobeys Allah.

If some one is taking a risk (driving like he did) involving his life alongwith others and subsequently manages to claim lives too. Then how come its not their fault. Its on the head of the risk taker.

Its a sad incident and by no doubt the will of Allah the most merciful.

I did not attend this race but all the previous ones. my observation was, management always yells, screams to get back from the road.
but sadly they go back for a few seconds and when action starts they all start running towards the road for a close view.

i blame us (parhay likhay spectators) only

The third one was a friend of mine...Mohsin...he worked under Babar at Askari Bank, they went together and were watching the race.

They guy was young, I feel sorry for the families :-(!

Racing should be banned forever!
