It's a sad reality Ma'am.
Police in every part of our country is almost the same. Although, systems are better and efficient in Punjab and KPK. So they don't get much chance but once they grab a murgha, they don't let him go so easily, even here in capital.
2 months ago, my car (having Islamabad number) broke down at main blue area road in front of Lofology, opposite to U.fone building. It was around 8 PM. I pushed the car to road side and parked it on one side and went to get the mechanic. Unfortunately it took almost 2 hours, as i returned with mechanic. The car was gone. We were confident that police had lifted it because of the sensitive road. We went to one police station to another and they started playing with us. My brother in law, involved his SP friend but now we were cash cows in thier eyes. Even with involvement of SP, they took 2 days to return the car, at the cost of Rs.18000.
3500 Tow truck charges, who lifted the car from blue area and 15000 bribe for returning the car. Even SP said that you have to pay them, other wise this staff will drag you unnecessarily.
They are not even afraid of doing this, in the most sensitive and VVIP zone. As they know that no one in this country can break this vicious circle.
