Salam all. Please suggest any reasonable car in 7-10 lakh budget. Old model sedan vs new model hatchback. What will you people prefer. My priority is fuel economy, easy maintenance and low taxes but not basic cars little good car.
If you want to keep the car for next 3-5 years then go for cultus (old shape). It gives good fuel economy, spacious cabin and a decent trunk. Parts are easily available and car is cheap to maintain.

you can also get a liana in this budget easily or an older city or civic. Depends on your priorities. Cultus has good economy though so thats a plus point
Liana have a bad repo don't know but personally I don't like the shape of Liana. Cultus or city is my options now so which should be better to invest in?
I had made a deal of city 2006 black in 10 lakh. Mileage 100000 something, and I will be 4th owner. Have seen car physically and person seems reliable and trust worthy. So should I go for local mechanic or professional inspection ? Car condition is little rough outside but seems genuine inside and engine. Please suggest is it a good deal? Thanks
The ones that look reliable and trustworthy are always the ones to avoid. Thats way too much but prices have also increased a lot and that city is in extremely high demand. Mileage can be easily reversed and black is the worst color for this car. Get professional inspection people generally say good stuff about pakwheels inspection. this car is very economical if clean. If it is in very good shape I would recommend it but i havent seen it
cultus,, liana, corolla (indus shape or 9th gen). city achi gari is over 1million, under 1million city abused he miley gi. One advantage fo liana and cultus, you will find recent models, means 2006,7 sse newer.
If I were in your place I would go for the cleanest Cultus 2015-2016 (old shape) I could find. the car will be only 4-5 year old.A 2006 city will be 14 year old car..it is bound to give you trips to a mechanic every now and then.So if you can want a trouble free car and can get by with a hatchback, nothing will be better than a clean cultus 2015-2016
I'm still in doubt for deal. Car average to be claimed is 11 to 12 km by owner.
Forget this car then. it must be badly abused. Dont look at the age of the car when buying but the condition only whichever car you buy. My first car was a khyber , and it was 16 years old when i bought it. But i bought the cleanest one and it cost me 4 laakh when cars were cheaper and everyone was like so much on such an older car. But it was a great car. Keep searching for multiple car types at once and buy the clean one when you get a good deal. dont look for just one car.

One other thing when ever I filter for cars I set petrol option only and no cng, so is it right approach as cng had destroyed engine the believe is. What you guys have to say on this ?
Most suzuki cars and older sedans are run on cng. It does some damage to the engine but is not a deal breaker imo.
