im not a CHORUU so im sayin this right now....this is not my car, its just a rental in Canada... Im just writing a little review on it.
yea....so i start

Well, my dad came to visit me here in Canada. None of us here have a full licence except my dad, i g2 wait a few months for my G2. So , i rented a car on his name. I actually booked a Pontiac G6 but they didnt have any at the time so they gave us one from a higher class (luxury class). It competes with the 300C.

The moment the guy told us that he can give us a Buick, i was like I DNT WANT IT....then he's like i can get u a g5, or an malibu.....but then he convinces me, once he made me sit in the car...=)

I always had this thing in my head that Buicks are heavy american front wheel drive soap boxes.... they really used to be. Until they came up with this....seriously
My dad was like how do u start this....and i looked at the RPM guage and i was like its already on....No sound at all. Its Buick's quietest car built till today. I was surprised by the luxury of the car.

The guage can be converted from MPH to KMPH and back just by this button on the dash....the Traction control can also be turned off

The ON-STAR enetertainment system
this system works through a satellite connection....
u can call them in any emergency just press the red cross
i did it by mistake...the car made a call through the radio...which didnt turn off even when i took out the keys....then the guys like "CAN YOU STATE YOUR EMERGENCY PLEASE??" i was like WTF the cars talkin to me.,... LMAO.. they can track your car...even open it through a phone call

The traction control....
its excellent....the car weighs 1598 kilos....its big , heavy.....and only has 200hp....but still it handles better than a camry and a 300c....I though it would have a lot of body roll....i turned at 80 and even still....minimal body roll and not even much understeer.....the traction control is excellent and u TURN IT OFF =)!

The car is american soo....u can see that from the pedals

Its pretty spacious and comfy too.....electronic seats....a lot of space....and the suspension is excellent....its really comfortable and with less body roll than my dads 03 camry and my bro maxima

The engine is a 3.8L ....but its american so only 200HP
but im surprised how fast this thing actually is
i tested it everywhere....0-100 in around 7.4/7.5 secs with the traction on.... It also has some intelligent power assist thing...i guessing cuz even when i floored it while turning really fast....it didnt understeer....it shud have....its front wheel drive...and when i floor it its supposed to lose front grip....but this car doesnt....HONESTLY I CAN BET ANYTHING AND SAY THAT ITS MORE COMFY THAN A 300C! the HANDLING IS BETTER THAN A CAMRY! i was surpised...i though buicks were SHIT

This engine is very reliable. GM has been making this engine for almost 20 years now, thats why its also called bullet proof engine.

Buicks are not shit. Pontiac Grand Prix is exact copy of Buick. Same engine and same parts, Only the body is differnet.
People don't like buick of its shape and because of that mostly old people buy it.

btw did you know... Buick was ranked the most reliable brand in united states in 2007?

lol...didnt know that.....
still im impressed by this car...its not a really fast car or anythin....I just never expected a 1600kg car to handle and drive this way, this smooth....and i expected a lot lot of body roll which didnt happen

Nice review and refreshingly different.(Y). Also, it will be nice of members from the UK and other countries visited dealers and reviewed the latest cars once in a while so members in Pak can know what is out there in the wider automotive world. I do my bit with showcasing the Indian Auto scene while i'm here. Exotic spottings and Motor show photos are cool, but we all know that the vast majority of cars bought worldwide are the family hatchbacks and sedans. The car reviewed in this thread is one such. And, it performs it's task remarkably well.

lol...yea im gonna try out a few cars when i go to saudi this summer...in august...for now...i got summer school and i havent got time....
the problem for me is that i g2 have the car for a day... i have to floor it and i have to do some panga bazii....to properly know the car...and i cant use my frndz cars cuz i dnt think i shud be taking the risk of performance testing a car without a licence....here its 5 years suspension for street racing...
This time was an exception...i got really lucky, i was doin a rolling burnout with the traction off, i was next to the intersection and i heard a cop siren ....comin towards me....i revered and turned....the cop just heard the screeches....so he just went straight....so lucky...Mashallah.

@wik_a....i agree they are good cars....this one was actually made to compete with the lexus....but u g2 agree with me here...THEY ARE UGLY....i dno who designed them...cuz the are made for old ppl
ACtually the good review might be bcuz of the looks...ill explain,,,see... if u look at this car, the first impression is that it is a bit odd/ugly....so u dnt expect much from it. Which also means that u cant be disappointed anymore.....so everygood feature surprises and impresses, cuz u hav no expectations...thus giving a good review....or it could simply be a good car....yea....but not my taste...not at this age

i really wanna write a review on a CG125 and other bikes in pakistan cuz everyone who has the bike, exagerrates everything....no one criticizes anything they own...but im not goin pakistan till winter =(

Cadillacs, Buicks, Lexus etc are for older people who'll buy these cars from their retirement money. lolz. thats the general perception in US.

You're right about it being ugly. At urs/mine age no one would prefer such car. we'd go for something sporty and youthful, won't we?

And ye ur rite coz i find this buick and older Lexus GS quite similar. not exact copy pasting but inspiration n all that. u agree?

yea.....they're not that expensive either...$28k while cadillac CTS start from 38k and so the lexus....

BTW i wanted to write a review on my frnds BMW 335is '08 twin turbo, DSG gearbox...bose sound system...everything....0-60 in 4.5 secs....faster than the newest m3 or the same in a straight line.... but he just got it last week and he payed $85,000 for it...yea im not even gonna try askin him for it
