What I have learnt in last 5 years is never built a budget gamming rig I'd you don't have enough money.

The speed with which new technologies are coming a top of line model goes into dust in an year or two... You can't play maxed out games on it. All those who are suggesting a good GPU with 1st Gen i3/i5, how long would it take to drop these processors? And when this will happen you'll have a great GPU enough ram and a good mobo but not enough processing power to crank them up..

Then why not invest once for a long time? Even if the rig is built in stages..

look into the hardware and softwares combination when i run cod mw3 on max my 3.4 ht is only used half and my gup is at its full load, than why i need to pay for i7 when i havent used its full potentioal ......

and dp965 mobo can cupport 3.4 quad core 12mb so thats not intique .

If i find 2900 gpu i will not replacce my mobo as i mentioned earlier "lowest buddjet possible"...

any ways.................

after searching in rawalpindi i find a readeon 3650 512mb great for me , but i coulnt find its 6 pin power converter so i didn't purchased it.

Situation(A) :>

current spec :
250 watt max power output psu, 3.4HT, 2GB ddr2, Nvidia 6200 256mb.

Now I will sell This pc and add another 4K my budjet will be 8K.

I will Buy the following

Mobo: DG41RQ , Recomended psu that i callculated is 450 watts, x4500 built in GPU with core 650 and mem core will be 400 having pixel shader 4.0 means BF3 will run on low settings. but pci express is only 1.1 which can only transmit at 8 Gb/s. (this mobo is only for 2.2K :))

Pro : Which ever fits in the budjet i will upgarde it later on ....

Case & PSU : 450 watts psu with case, sata 2.0 80GB, 2 Gb 0r 3Gb DDR2 800.

Optical drive : I already have a DVD.

so i can buit it in 8K:D but first let me sell this one.

Running crysis + 12V / 3W Bulb

PSU dosent tripped or smoked.

I was just checking that can it bear further modifications load.

I will try a 25W bulb next time.

Well I don't wanna spoil the fun but just like cars there are different categories.

There are luxury cars resulting comfort, joy, fun & speed/acceleration (deepnds); their is top of the line hardware resulting maximum depth and joy of the game (Full Graphics/Sounds)
There are mid-line cars resulting average comfort, joy and fun and a little bit less speed/acceleration; their is a mid-line hardware that supports everything but looses the challenge when it comes to detailing each particle and item on the screen (medium graphics)
& least is a hardware capable of doing the work just right just like car which can take you from point A to point B (purpose well served)

Same like above take an example of audio, a tower built-in speaker can serve the purpose just fine then why add two satellite speaker? 2.1, 5.1? 7.1? etc. well that where quality comes in. Comfort, Joy!!

In your example that's not budget gaming or an enthusiast thing its more of a chal chaalaoooo (kabhi 1 game khel li and thats it).

Once again, if you love your hardware and you definitely know more about these things then me, DC current either 1 or 0 and should not have any fluctuations, you might be able to draw 600W out of 500W PSU but the current would not be worth it..
PSU dies over time, lowers it quality and detriots. For the same reason it is said that buy a bit overrated psu for your setup even if you are not planning to upgrade, what if you built a nice rig and next day your mobo is fried because the psu didn;t worked like it should?

But lets not talk about it because testing with a bulb is what should tell about the quality of PSU or resistance it can hold.

of course if you put money in your rig it will be fast but it also depend upon your priorities.

i dont want to compete with my hardware . I just want pc that can just run most of the latest games at 20 fps at nice setting.

any how on saturday inshallall i will buy a GD41RQ mobo . or may be a 8600 gt with it .

M not a game enthusiast but would like to give a tip for a budget pc...

Dell precision 490 workstation
2 x 3.0ghz xeon dual core processors with 4 mb cache each
8gb ecc unbuffered ram
650watts dell psu

Above pc will cost u somewhere around 12k to 14k only but will prove to be rock solid

Graphics card depends upon ur budget.

Above pc is being used by me and I have found it better then i5 in some high end processing thrusty applications..

You can also easily upgrade dell 490 to 2 x quad core 3.0 ghz xeon 8mb processors with a reasonable amount..

i play cod mw3 at 1280 x 1024 texture map specular at high...... 17 fps . gpu core 450mhz, mem core 750mhz. 6.2gb/s

and mostly all with 1280x1024 and good.

Those FPS are nowhere near gaming. Sorry my pc cant beat price to s.h.i.t ratio.. Keep on gaming at 15fps..

Like two & a half years back when Dirt 2 was resealed I had some problem with my desktop and it wasn't working..

The day crack leaked on torrents l downloaded the game on my laptop and installed, it had a core i5 230M, 4GB 1333Mhz DD3 ram and ATI 4330 HD 512 MB with HT support

Started with 1024?768 and ended up with 640?480 resolution with graphics maxed as far I remember or may be medium maxed

Frame rate I played that game on was 35-40 with these settings screen was small like a hand held gamming device but it was fun.. Ended the game before any if M friends

So at least I've played at 640*480 resolution

What I'm trying to say is resolution is not important in every case... I'd prefer playing a game in 720p if my GPU is not able to bear the load of 1080p with 16mmx AA because with maxed out graphics I'll enjoy the game more at 720p then 1080p. What's the purpose of more resolution if you can't enjoy your game? Can't see the minute details and efforts they put in the game?

So, buddy someday try playing MW3 in low resolution but with better graphics, you'll get better fps and will enjoy more I'll bet.

On a lighter note, Allah ki kasam bearing 16-17 fps, you must be playing solo campaign that too on easy... Kabhi aoo na MP khushboo laga k?
