Built Not Bought 2.0 - BMW E39 540i M62 4.4L V8

Hope you all are doing great, this is going to be my 5th project that I'll be documenting on pakwheels but 11th in general. I was in search of the perfect budget V8 that I could use on a daily basis and maintaining it wouldn't be a pain in the ass. A car that I can drive everyday but enjoy on weekends. This is our 8th german but this E39 holds a special place in my heart as this is the first BMW that I bought from my own earnings. Coming to the specs, let's talk about the powerhouse, the mighty 4.4L V8 M62 producing 282HP with 325 lb-ft of torque at 3600 RPM.
The exterior is finished in silver and luckily, 0 touch ups, with bits of chrome trims around the car from the factory, 16" original BMW wheels paired with Yokohama C-drive tyres. Talking about the interior, there's a lot to talk about, the car's got almost everything that you'd expect from a totally packed BMW, electric seats, front heated seats, heated steering, multimedia controls, cruise control, a trip-tronic transmission, a MKII 4:3 on board BMW sat-nav system, sunroof, dual zone climate control, ambient lights and the list goes on, there's a lot to discover and I'd love to have you all accompany me in discovering more about this car and turning it into something better with the passage of time. The first thing on my to-do list for the E39 was to get the lights buffed. The glass had that yellowish tint that I wanted to get rid of. Here's the progress from today.

Indeed bro, the previous owner happens to be from INH so you can definitely sense what kind of pampering & treatment this car has been receiving. I'm going to be slow with the project since I don't want to rush things but I'll try ny best to turn it into one of the best E39s in the country, Insha'Allah. Press on the history of timing chain, rails and tensioner repair. Cosmetics are a walk in the park on this car.

But if your engine loses time and crashes, you will be in a world of pain.

Alhumdulilah no blown electricals or sensors so far, the car has a recent check up history with BMW dewan and the only issue that was fixed was rough idling. It happens to be a common issue in M62 but I'm glad it's fixed. I'll still pay a visit to Dewan Motors soon for another check up, but before that, I'll take it to Hassan bhai's garage (Sardar Hassan) because most of our vehicles go there for the check ups.

I've checked up with the history, Zulfiqar bhai.
But I'll pay a visit to Dewan Motors later this week Insha'Allah, the car has 0 performance issues so far but I'll still go for another check up, will let you know about the report then

Dewan motors mechanics are clueless and only follow what the GT1 or the istaD tools tells them.

There will be no errors for timing chain right until failure and your engine is scrapped after it, at most you may hear chain rattle on cold start but its quite hard to detect.

Just FYI as I dont want to see this nice car standing at a shop in Pk.
