Built Not Bought - Honda Accord CA5 1989 3G

The Accord CA5 has always been a headache when it comes to sourcing parts
This was the first thing on our TO-DO LIST
To source all the missing parts
. The original rear bumper was missing
. The original front bumper indicators/parking lights were missing

We finally got our hands on the original rear bumper in Lahore!

Fast forward to the day when the car was finally dented

I know this restomod looks like it was a quick one, we literally jumped from *HOW THE CAR LOOKED LIKE** when we bought it to 'Yo! It's getting painted'
But this project took 4 months to complete
This is the list of what we did to the car
. Complete engine overhaul, didn't go for a swap because the engine prices were insane
. Complete suspension overhaul
. Sandblasting the body to make sure the denting is done precisely
. Complete wiring

The rest of the stuff done was after the paint job, so enjoy the pictures of THE D-DAY

We had many options to go for when it was about choosing the colour for this car, nardo grey, java black, sapphire black pearl etc

But the car was meant to give more of that classic Honda feel, so we chose Standox 541 Rubin Red

The pictures don't really do justice to this colour, the colour pops although it's a single stage paint job, but the results were insane, Standox and Glasurit are unbeatable when it comes to their paint quality.

Bought a set of BC Racing Coilovers for the front and rear
IT JUST HAD TO BE LOWERED

The bumper trims were painted in matte black to match the door mouldings. Now wait for the final pictures, I'll post them once you guys review the work done so far

the side skirts are not doing justice with the car as well as the rubbers mouldings and the sides of the rear bumper.

We installed these aftermarket side skirts because the car was meant to be lowered & this was Shahzaib's first time driving a lowered car, so the side skirts were installed to protect the actual side skirts of the car from getting scratched. The final pictures are still not posted, I'm waiting for reviews on the work done so far, will post the final pictures then

I was expecting that you would change the colour but you opted for red

Transformation is very pleasing
I can see the paint scraped off from the side skirt on left side

Let me share some pictures of the car that we had on our mind, those pictures and that specific car that made us go for red.

We couldn't get a hold of the original bumper indicators/parking lights, therefore? We went with something else
I bought these rare dual bulb indicators/parking lamps for my Suzuki Khyber, we were sitting and wondering what can be done, because altering the original Khyber bumper lights was an option but we wanted to keep that DUAL bulb option
So well, I took out a set of these bumper lamps I bought for my Khyber and we altered them on the Accord.
Replaced the amber covers with clear covers
Cost of the covers? PKR 60 only

The final look of the gorgeous Honda Accord CA5 finished in Standox Rubin Red (541)
The car's still got some touches left, like we need to get the rims painted & paint the front brake calipers in red as well. Say masha'Allah
