Burning Smell

Salam!
I recently bought a new car , when i park it i feel a very bad burning smell ( My ramp is Steep) As i use too much brake due to small parking space and height of porch is much higher than street . So i want to ask its clutch problem or brake leather problem ? because tryes are not slipped ( I mean there is no tyre slip print ) and smell is like tyre burning.

both clutch and brake has got nothing to do with the smell, even both are worn out still they will not smell. check your vehicle's engine room properly by sniffing your self. thanks.

Sir burning smell is created due to heat , its 0 meter car so no problem at all but smell comes only when i try to climb it on steep ramp too much brake usage so heat causes burning smell either its clutch or brake.. My previous car cultus dont create any smell

Hey! by the nature of constraint u have stated i assume u dont release the clutch to the fullest and thus u burn some of ur clutch plate's leather... that is where the smell comes form

Yes as its steep slope so i dont release clutch fullest and it happens every time because dont have any other way.., clutch will be damaged or with the time this smell will be decreased by time ... And yes there is no smell with old cars, now i dont understand problem with the car or my driving style..

You need to work on your clutch control.. Dont hold it half while climbing

Burning smell from a new car is normal. It will go away in couple of weeks. I also felt it when parked at home after arriving from office 25 kms away

Sir negligible smell is coming after a 100km journey before parking . but while parking just in those 5 minute 3-4 times forward reverse causes Pungent smell , may be brake leather issue?

Agree, with Mansoor bhai.

@poster : what is the make of your car and is it automatic or manual transmission ? New car till now how much driven.

I have slop parking to climb up in reverse and my new corolla 1.5 years 26K driven even now some times when I park while throttling manual transmission it gets smelly like leather or fuel.

You are right - , at climb to keep it straight, before it touches a corner only half clutch helps ... and you know new car atleast one tries to keep it untouch for atleast 3 years.
