Buy Mobile Phone from AliExpress

Hi All,

Anyone has recent experience of buying mobile phone from AliExpress?
I ordered a mobile phone from AliExpress and it has been detained by customs at GPO.
When I contacted them at GPO they asked me to get NOC from PTA.
I have submitted documents to PTA and its been 5 days that I couldn't receive NOC from PTA.
Can anyone please tell me if someone face same situation or just received mobile phone from AliExpress to his/her doorstep?

Yes I frequently use to buy from aliexpress…till now bought 8 phones…1 got detained once by Customs of GPO…went there.
U have two ways:
*Get an NOC by PTA (Long way) and U have to pay the tax as per standard slab system.
*Other is to pay the guy at GPO-negotiate and then, the way it is in Pakistan and U will get it instantly.

As per PTA, they don't issue noc for Xiaomi mobile phones. Is this right?
This brand is not allowed in Pakistan? Please advice!

bro. now those links are no more...u can search n buy from any reliable seller, check their feedback first.

I prefer not to buy mobile from an international website. You have to pay custom duty/tax when it reaches GPO or airport and you have to wait until PTA issue NOC. It may take more than 2-3 months to receive the phone. To read complete process, check this post:
