Buying a Car For Newbie - Need Suggestion

Hello guys,

Let me tell you my situations first I didn't drive car before, it would be my first experience after learning driving and I love to buy PRIUS new or used so is there any experienced person who can share his/her experience, should I buy PRIUS or should I buy any small vehicle?

Which Vehicle should I choose as a beginner Small 660C Hatchback or Sedan?
I'm not interested in Local cars due to their quality, please suggest me any Japaneses car in hatchback or sedan.
Price range 1 million to 2.5 million PKR.

Swift reply will be highly appreciated.

if you don't know how to drive, get a cheap local car, learn to drive on it, then buy an expensive car, not a wise idea to buy a complicated Japanese car from the start.

If you are not interested in local, then 660 or 1000 cc hatchback would be a better choice to start with. I will personally recommend to go for Daihatsu Mira, easy to drive and good resale value along with ease in availability of parts compare to other 660 cc hatchback.

In 1000 cc hatchback you can opt between Vitz and Passo depending upon your Budget.

But If you search Mira on Pak Wheels so there prices are too far high as compared, Like more than a million somewhere I saw 14.5 lac its too much for such small car 660cc.

Why we should buy 660cc in 14 lac why don't we put additional 2 lac and buy Ciaz or Gli in 18 or 20 lac at least that would be sedan and brand new zero metre. Please advise.

If I take proper expert driving training so can I buy Ciaz or Gli as a first time but I can take proper training and drive test and practice what do you suggest please advise

thats a tough call, gli is 1.3 but a corolla nonetheless, ciaz even though is a good car but will have little to no support later on....
I guess the safer choice would be a gli, the ciaz is better in quite a few things but i am not certain its price is justified, its too expensive

So do you recommend Gli to me if I take proper training for driving?
Secondly Ciaz have safety features such as immobilizer and air bags so why not ciaz? Please advise.

i would advice an altis 1.6, given your budget, a 2017 should easily be available to you.
ciaz is a nice car but since not many sold, suzuki will stop giving it support and after a few years, parts will be an issue. Even at present, they will be quite expensive

2017 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 cost me approx 25 Lac which is way too far. Whereas my budget is 20 lac max. Please advise!

First thing First, If you are confident on your Driving Skills then you can get any car in your budget be it hatchback or sedan. Horsepower doesn't matter.
If you can maintain your car then I will personally recommend you Suzuki Ciaz due to its features and comfort level. Drove it and found it better than Honda City and Toyota Corolla XLI/GLI

your first post said that your budget was 2.5 million, hence i gave you that suggestion.
Then yes a gli is your best buy, not sure if you can afford a new one in 2 million.. but yes, its a rugged car and very durable.
Ciaz will not be something easy to maintain if you don't know much about cars.
Practical world is alot different than that on paper, ciaz looks good on paper, but a whole different story in the real world
