Buying a Generator - Suggestions required

Aoa guys,

I was considering buying a generator since UPSes cant give enough backup in today's load shedding, but still I only want it as a secondary backup. Primary being the UPS.

Basically I just want to run 3,4 fans & a few savers on it. Only when our UPS dies due to long load shedding + in case some repair or maintenance work is going on with wapda.

So far I have accessed my need to be:

Best reliability, trouble free, should run smooth, take full load, no fluctuations whatsoever.
Power 1kv - 1.5kv
Fuel efficient - 1ltr an hour max.
(I plan to run on patrol, I think gas would only ruin its life and performance? What ebt diesel ones?)
Low noise
Preferably self start
Spares, services maintenance officially/easily available.

Are Chinese brands any good? What about Korean or Taiwanese? Any reputed names?

How much Honda or Yamaha gens gonna cost? Saw a hyundai generator today too, he was asking 27ks for 900watt hand operated gen!

Market is Flooded with fake brands.. If you want to buy a china generator , I m Suggest you 2 brands.. first priority -->Loncin , second --> Jasco..

my chacha bought jasco in 2011 on my farmaesh.. ,run all time on Gas.. One time we changes its value.. total cost 1200, Changed battery one time only...
We bought loncin before one year ago, since then no issue Alhamdulliah

How much is ur daily usage of gen?
and what about homage generators? I think that brand is trustable and well priced

6 hour average usage.. dont know about homage generator.

Loncin
using it since april 10
things changed are
AVR ,Self switch and battery
now coming to engine
plugs changed accordingly tappets i adjust them to Factory specs
Engine oil using Zic A since day 1 and still Engine is M,A
lastly hours i think in 4 years it has done around 4000 hours
and using it on NG

Visited brandreth road today...
Jacso, loncin, semco, Sun dynamic similar qualities..
price for 1kv self start roughly 23-25,000Rs.

Honda/yamaha too expensive.. honda starts at 60ks for 1.3kv

Making up my mind for loncin or jasco.

few months ago i bought sun dynamic generator on the very first day there was oil on the breather pipe it is common issue in all chinese generator like loncin jasco etc whether u run them on petrol or gas after that i bought firman generator still using firman no oil on the breather pipe and quality is gud too.it is chinese gen but good quality chines gen it is expensive but worth your money.

The thing is, I dont need 2.5kv
1kv is available but it has no self startor

my dad visited their factory a few years ago, they send complete products catalog in pdf format once or twice a year by email. da series genny are pricier than their d series counterparts but sold here at lower prices because they are considered fake(which they are not, some are though but easy to recognize).

1kv has no self and I also had 1.3kv tiger 2 stroke and 1kv is kinda uselss it won't run room cooler not friedge and if u are running 4 fans on it then lights of house won't work and small iron never worked
2.5 is better even if ur load is less u can run friedge on it also self is a charm I used to kick start tiger every time it was a great exercise but no one in my family was able to start it except me lol

Im looking forward to buy jasco 1.2 kv generator, it has self start.

bought this ENPOWER - Energineering Company ( Innovative Power Solutions ) green power 2KVA genset back in 2009 from metro ISB for 28,000/, working flawlessly, done overhauling last summer amounting to 4,200/-
no chokwe required , even my 6 year old son starts it.

only draw back its runs only on NG or LPG.

go for it.
