Hi. I want to know about buying an FJ 40 that has been restored for like 7-8 lack rupees and spend some more on getting it improved with maybe a diesel engine, AC etc. I have driven an FJ 20 years back when I was in school and out family owned one, but i dont know about its restoration charges these days? plus I also came to know that fitting a diesel engine in an FJ is not an easy thing to do (i need diesel for using in northern areas). Also, there are certain models that one should try not to buy because there are issues in them such as having a fuel talk under the drivers seat. Now i am not sure how serious are these few issues when making the purchase decision? Can anyone please help on this?
