You have made some very good points here, specially Vitara.
It is not a car in demand, so I can settle for GL+, and also bargain more because i have heard it is very very slow to sell. Should add negotiating room.
It is imported, so it will not be a compromise on features (can live without sunroof), infact will be an upgrade since current car is Prius S (without cruise control). If I buy Suzuki certified, their warranty, although lower than new cars, will be a plus.
The things I am concerned about is that it is a 4 wheel drive car, and I do not have the experience of owning an SUV. It is very rough and tough as I have seen in reviews,
But since driving more wheels means more parts in the car to transfer power to all 4, I do not know what additional regular maintenance it will bring. I am more concerned about the ability of Pak Suzuki to perform the maintenance according to spec, and have all the parts available. If I can somehow assess that (owners of Vitara please reply), I can add it to the list too. If someone can share experience, I can make a better judgement. Off road is not a requirement but Vitara is a good car overall.
In this price range a friend of mine got a 2015 Honda vesel and that is
also a very good option it is a crossover plus loaded with features and
also hybrid the only downfall is you won’t find a newer model year
within budget
I want to avoid Vezel because of the complexity of maintaining its dual-clutch transmission, and also if I choose to go for imported, I would prefer to go for a fresh import. Recently imported Vezel is very expensive.
One more point is that I intend to keep the car for 3-4 years at least.
