Buying car what does touching mean?

Hi all. I am a first time car buyer. In my search for a car I often came across people saying that the car is genuine but its one piece touched or two pieces have touching. I have asked a couple of friends but no one knows. What does this mean? Does it affect the car value in some way? Is it safe to buy a touched car?

touching means repaint. Yes it affects resale. If someone says a panel is touched it means its repainted. A genuine car is one which is not repainted from anywhere. Dealers use varying terms to defraud innocent customers e.g. they might claim that respray is different from touching. Whenever you are out to buy a car confirm that a car is not touched/sprayed/resprayed/painted/repainted/showered from anywhere (Yes use all these terms!)

one piece touched means one painted or repaired part of the car, may go with a professional cz dats ur first time and dere r many frauds in pakistan, cheers

one-piece touching means, that particular part is repainted, and it does affect resale of a car, however, buying such a car is not a problem unless and until the car is not Accidented....as touching can be done due to scratches , etc. as well.....

but it is advised that you better go with some mechanic that is trustworthy, or someone you know who knows about cars well so that you may not be chated upon!..
