Buying from amazon possible in Pakistan?

I got New Hampshire addresscfrom Stackry, which has zero sales tax. My ViaBox address is based in Oregon with zero Sales Tax as well. I also signed upto Aramex Shop and Shop service, and they gave me a NY Street address, which has 4% sales tax.

PkShip gives out address in Florida. hefty tax there.

Excellent! Actually while going for these services the issue is combining all the savings and extra costs to see where does a customer stand. All of these consolidators charge heavy amount on fist 2-3 KGs and a Pakistani importing an item with a weight of 200-300 grams ends up paying US50-60 that makes it highly costly even if he saves sales tax in certain states.

I doubt if it ever makes economical sense to import items less than 1Kg. But we always find something, that we need almost immediately.

Today i received my first item box from shipito via DHL but DHL charge me 11,560 rupees as a custom duty.I'm in shock why they charge too high amount? My products was a Scanner value $70, Bodybuilding products value is $82 and some skin care products price range $40.

When i check custom tariff list then there is mentioned 20% electronics, 5% on Vitamins and 10% on skin care products which becomes roughly 3000 rupees can anyone tell me why they charged too high and should i contact to custom office regarding this issue?

This is totally dependent on the value of the items in the parcels. Was there a receipt in this box with items value, or did they (shipito) remove it ?

As i told total value of 5 products were $192 and i declared 20% less.Shipito asked total value of products for Custom declaration which i mentioned $154 but let's consider DHL had known the original value by somehow which is $192 then still custom becomes 3000 rupees something according to Pakistan Custom Tariff but why DHL did this?

Out of this, DHL is only taking Rs 500 odd for custom clearance, rest is all going to Mr Dar, like it or not.

But on their Tariff list it is mentioned 5% for protein and 20% for electronics so why now they charged too high? Well if i order through USPS then same custom will be applied? And what if i declared my items as a Gift?

The custom duty is applied by Govt of Pakistan. DHL just clears them on your behalf.

If you want, take up the issue with Custom Tax Office.

This is why i dont use mail forwarding companies in pak. Private companies like DHL are a loot. This is why i use import service to get the job done. From buying to getting it on my doorstep.

It will be applied regardless .. Mr.adnan says the appraiser will determine the value of the item he deems fit. Even though its delcared as a gift. Under invoicing no longer is as effective as it use to be before. Private companies have become smarter.

YES . custom was definitely less. and do not use USPS it will be the same more or less.
unless you have cash to burn.i suggest you use import service . its hassle free..

Actually i can't use import service because i already have amazon account with full of balance by the way i will give a try to TNT or USPS now.

i see. use stackry then. and USPS is only recommended for light packages. max 2kg. i read about them online. and people say service is poor for heavier ones.
