BoE is prepare by DHL based on the information received from customs. It matches cent by cent with Customs record. Because in case of commercial importer or retailer the Sales tax & Income tax mentioned on BoE should match with the customs otherwise the importer/retailer can't claim it. So DHL can't take any risk by putting any number to their customers.
Claiming Sales tax is very much systematic in Pakistan NOW! The amount that an importer claim is already appearing in Govt's system (that they captured at import stage) so there is no chance that DHL will play with Sales Tax/Income tax/Duties at import stage.
If you ask for BoE, each & every shipments can be seen separately where you can see the following information:
- Value for Customs
- Duty %
- Duty Amount
- Sales tax %
- Sales tax Amount
- Income Tax Amount
The only thing that is missing from BoE is the CAA charges and Godown rent that DHL charge to customer proportionately based on weight or dimensions because DHL pays this amount lumsump to CAA/Customs.
