Yes, this is usual for USPS. Dont forget this is the peak season for shipping services as well, when they are working overtime to cope with the work loads.

Salam brothers need little help here My items shipped through DHL on 12 Dec then on 15 dec DHL gave me USPS tracking (means DHL handed it to USPS) Now when i track my status on USPS it saying "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" what does this mean it has been 5 days since USPS showing this status.

My advise. Open an account with Stackry. They are cheaper than Viabox, and they have more options.

The steps are:

1. Open Stackry account (Free) from here: https://app.stackry.com/register/referral?refCode=725550
   They wil give you a US local address.

2. Ship your Amazon, eBay etc stuff to this address. Amazon.com does free local shipping within US if your bill is more than 35$.

3. Stackry will email you once your items are received. You may receive more than 1 parcel before shipping them to Pak.
   They even allow you 30 days from first parcel received, to keep your items with them free of cost.

4. Once everything is received by Stackry, you can request them to put them together and use a smaller box (saves a lot of money, if you buying many items or from multiple different websites)

I even have a referal link above, giving you 10$ discount on yr first shipment (and 10$ on my next), if you decide to use it. So we both get something for FREE.

They give you choice of DHL, Fedex etc all usual suspects for int'l shipping. Along with shipping charges. You can pay them using Paypal or Credit Card.

If you buying just one item ie the printer, follow same steps, without consolidation or repacking. Shipping time is same as per the courier standards...

I have ordered many times, upto a maximum of USD 500 approx. Without any issues. Always on time.

So I totally trust them. What are you importing, if you dont mind me asking.

Did you consider the weight as well?

Both. Weight and then size in that order. You cant do too much to reduce the weight, unless you reduce the items.

What you can do is request Stackry to reduce volume. They will provide an option to repack the items before shipping. This only costs Usd5, but can save a lot more money, by using a small box. Only Stackry allows repacking option, AFAIK. ViaBox certainly does not.

The reason why volume is an issue is because, in US they ship using ground services, where volume is not a cost issue. So they use big boxes and add a lot of packing material to avoid any knocks etc. However, when the parcels are shipped internationally, they calculate cost on weight and volume, which ever is higher. So I sometimes request Stackry to repack the items to reduce volume. Savings will depend, but I saved like USD 35 on last parcel.

Yeah i heard a lot of positive feedback about stackry but disadvantage is they only accept credit card and paypal which both are very difficult to get in pakistan

The Credit Card disadvantage or advantage will always remain an issue. Disadvantage where you need to shop and cant pay, and advantage when you don't want to shop and cant pay I could certainly benefit, if I lost my card ... lol

You would need someone with Credit Card to pay for items, so use the same arrangement to pay for shipping as well.

Your parcel was last report on 22/12, which was only 6 days ago. This is quite usual with USPS. You will probably see an update sometime in next 10 days out of blue, that your parcel is received in Pakistan and awaiting custom clearance. Have patience (not so easy) and keep tracking your parcel every day, until it arrives in Pakistan.

I will share my story. I ordered some stuff from Amazon for direct delivery to Saudi Arabia. They decided to divide it into 3 parcels and ship them separately. 2 Via Aramex and 1 via I-Parcel (part of UPS). The parcels via Aramex arrived without any issues with in 10 days. The one via I-Parcel is still not delivered. Its status has not changed since 10/12 I am following up with them, but due to Christmas rush, it will be difficult to see where is it sitting for a few days. Amazon promised to refund the money, if within reasonable time it did not get delivered. Which is a relief, as I have stuff worth US$ 300 sitting in that box .

I am not sure where Hwaleed purchased his things from, but he chose the cheapest option of USPS. USPS is equivalent to Pak Post. You should use DHL or Fedex if you need a quick service with clear tracking. His items have been updated on 22/12, so nothing hanging there.

I chose the cheapest shipping from Amazon direct To Saudi Arabia, and they shipped it using I-Parcel. My items are "hanging" since 10/12, but Amazon said if they are not delivered by 31/12 they will refund me. So I am not worried about money. Its the inconvenience, that I wanted those items with me this week. However, I also did not use Stackry for this transaction. I tried the direct shipping by Amazon to Saudi Arabia. Next time, I will avoid using the cheapest option, to get a better shipping service.

Otherwise, I have spent thousands in USD with Amazon, eBay, etc etc, and this is the first issue in many years.

Packaging:
Perhaps you never saw packing from Amazon before. They will take your items with their packaging and put them in really big boxes with packing material to add cushion for reasons I mentioned before.

Stackry can, upon your request, repack these items in smaller boxes. The items will remain in original packaging, but the overall package box is smaller in size. This service requires an additional payment... As I told you before.

Check your item weight on Amazon. Add them up, add 20% extra for safe side, and go to Stackry and enter the weight there. It will give you a rough idea with different carriers, like DHL, Fedex.

The only confirmed way of getting to know the charges is to place an actual order.

I will always choose one of FEDEX or DHL, if the price difference is not huge. They are outrageously quick and professional.

Bro you have 2 options:

1. Contact Mr.Adnan (Whatsapp)

   i have ordered many items from him. very prompt delivery. and provides you with the quote including all charges. so you dont need the hassle of dealing with "shocking" custom duty, detaining of parcels, tracking your package etc...
   now while i have used myimportz as well, i too had to request for a refund after 1 month. his rates are cheap but i rather get my stuff on time. than wait 3+months.

2.if you have cash to burn and you are a risk taker then use mail forwarding services like viabox , stackry. as i have said before @hwaleed
made a very bold move ordering from viabox in pakistan!!
the only reason im not using mail forwarding service in pak is because of lack of support + dealing with customs.
