tldr; Looking to buy my first car, have decent money saved up but want opinion on which one to buy out of the two, stuck between some options need some pros and cons like Ride Quality, style points, reliability, depreciation, resale etc.

I am in my early 20's and have saved up a decent amount of money to buy my first car. Context - my house is generally a Toyota household, currently I drive my father's Toyota Corolla Altis Cruisetronic, but most of my friends have a Civic (Rebirths, Reborns, and even Civic Xs). I don't want to go down the leasing/financing route and would prefer BUYING the car. I am looking at Honda Civic Reborn and Honda Civic VTI Prosmatec
I have looked at a few Reborns which go very slightly over my budget and some VTIs that I can buy out comfortably. I have been reading up on known faults for both and understand that after I purchase either car I have to keep money to keep that car up to spec.
I want to know which car is better in terms of reliability, mileage (i know they both dont have the best but still) also which car would depreciate faster ( I am assuming the VTI since it is older, please guide me on this), and also the resale for Honda Civics (since I have seen Toyotas have really good resale)
