Buying New Car Tires, Need Advice!

Assalam Alaikum fellow PW members,

I want to ask experienced car owners about things to look out for when buying new tires.

Also, I want to know whether wheel balancing/adjustment is important after installing new tires. If yes, why is it necessary?

Lastly, I have decided to buy the tires from Tire Point outlet located near Safari Park in Karachi. Does anyone know if the company is reliable for buying tires?

Tyre point usually sell the tyre in high prices in comparison to the one available in the market.

I bought Sailun tyres (Chinese brand) for my Honda City around 4 months ago from the shop located before Aladin and up till now they are running very fine. One tyre price was Rs,. 8000/- (185-65-R15).

wheel balancing. yes. normally when installing a new tyre, the old weights in the rim get disturbed. also your new tyre may not have the same weight as the old ones. so yes, for fresh new tyres, its preferable to get fresh new nozzles, fresh balancing. clean the inside of the rim as well if needed.

why tire point specifically?

why not go to each brands own outlet?
below brands have own outlets that i know of,

nexen, yokohama, bridgestone.

always get the freshest tyre stock.

Ok. Thank you for the reply. I will keep your advise in mind when purchasing tires next month for my car. Also, you are right buying from an authorized dealer is the best option.

I just wanted to know if anyone have ever bought from Tirepoint. But as per @sirajturk, they charge a higher price for tires.
