Sim came preinstalled with the vehicle. All BYD vehicles support OTA software updates and this require BYD's preinstalled sim. Other option to get the updates is from service center. Right now I am not sure on the data plan.

Nothing will happen, you can keep using the vehicle as it's. Only internet will stop working.

One of the feature coming soon in a month time is BYD app from where you can control the vehicle like remote start/stop, controlling the HVAC system, checking SoC, tire pressure, open/close windows, doors etc.

Apply CarPlay and Android Auto is also pending. There's some regulations and require approvals. This will be enabled with in a month as well.

I also found SD card in the console box but initially I couldn't figure out why they gave it. Later I found the port where I installed the SD card. The vehicle starts recording. It came DVR camera preinstalled behind the rear view mirror.

According to KHI dealership OTA updates will be disabled for us and the car will need to be brought in physically for a "software update". We'll find out soon regarding the whole sim / PTA scenario.

Alhamdulilah happy with the purchase. I can confidently recommend it to my family or friends.

Quality is premium, feature loaded, comfortable seats n soft suspension, acceleration is quick. No complaints so far except the rear view gets blocked due to headrests.

Now when I sit in my Honda, it feels like Suzuki to me

Brother, I had a question ~ is the wireless charger ( phone ) good ?!? Does it require any type of special placement or something?? Placement as in ~ you need to move the phone around for it to work ( wireless charger ) .... Thanks ! One of my customer is facing a bit of an issue with the wireless charger. Also, accessories for atto 3 are now available. I would recommend you to get the airpress/sun visors.

My phone do not support wireless charging hence couldn't try. For a phone to work with a wireless charger, it must have built-in wireless charging coils or a compatible receiver.

Yea, I know about that. His phone is supported (15 Pro), and the issue has been resolved. Turns out, the back cover was acting as a barrier ~ after removing it, it worked perfectly fine. Man, atto 3 really stands out when you see it up close ( Irl ) ~ futuristic & a beauty. Thanks!
Btw, which accessories did you get ?

I am glad it's working now.
So far I have bought key fob cover, tempered glass for screens and door sills. I was planning to buy floor mats but I came to know it will come with the vehicle which it did. But the floor mats are not bucket style. I may buy new mats

So what's the realistic range Atto 3 gives?

Most of the owners on WhatsApp group are getting between 300~330 km in city driving. I am getting 10 kWh/100 km which roughly translates to 490 km of range (without AC). I started using the AC today because previously weather was pleasant in Islamabad.

The more your stuck in traffic jam with speeds 30~60 kph, the better range you get. I usually drive for pick n drop my kids from school hence I face bad traffic situation but excellent range in this particular scenario.

Damn 300 is truly awful. How are they getting 300 and you’re getting nearly 500

300-330 km isn't bad considering it's claimed range is 345 km officially. So they're pretty much getting close to the claimed range.
