Guys give feedback on insurance premiums. Has anyone got Atto3 insured? Any rate difference between ICE and EV vehicles?

I am driving in heavy traffic. The slower the traffic, the better range you get. I daily drive to school for pick n drop and the traffic there's worse. While the ICE vehicles burn more fuel idling or when driven under 40 kph, I enjoy better range in such situations and almost negligible energy consumption when idling (without AC or heater). The AC takes 1 kW power when turned on which is still very less compared to idling with ICE car.

Like Uzair mentioned, 300~330 km is good range because the claimed range for 49 kWh battery pack version is 345 km (WLTP).

As far as I have researched, EV range gets worse when driven at motorway speeds. Even though I have not taken my Atto to motorway but IMO it will give range between 200~250 km when driven at 120 kph.

1.5% comprehensive can be arranged through Adamjee if you insure before eid.

BYD recommended TPL. I got mine covered for 1.8%.

I am happy with the range and everything else so far. Waiting for the L2 charger to be installed, I am all on solar so slow charger is no good. I am out when there is sunlight. Anyone else trying to use all solar on it? What are your charging strategies? I have set it to charge only after 7:30am and stop at 18:00.
Also when can we use the app?

Actual registration cost is 3600. Rest of it is advance tax which I will get it adjusted when filing tax

My delivery month is March and I still haven’t received a call for the balance payment. I call their helpline every 2 days in a week expecting atleast some good news for my Atto 3. I’ve memorised most of their staff employees names in this hustle lol. I was really looking forward to get the car before EID but I don’t think that would be possible under the current circumstances.

You won't be getting delivery before Eid. They have started Feb deliveries. March deliveries are expected to begin after mid April.
For the past 2 days, they have started calling people with March bookings for balance payment. Usually they deliver after a month of balance payment.

Yeah I could see the delay incoming since there too much backlog. I’ve heard they’ve limited staff. Plus the ramzan timings and days are short. Anyways I’ve made my mind for April now.

By the way I got software version 13. It doesn't have Android auto. So far I was unable to trigger OTA. I guess visiting dealership will be necessity, anyone else have that?

Right now android auto is available. BYD will release a new update after a month or so which will have this enabled. You need to visit the service center to get the update. Most probably by the time you go for your first free service after 3 months since delivery, they will have the update available.

Advance tax was not included in price of the car? Why registration cost is so different between sindh and islamabad? 10k vs 273k. Anyone having an idea of registration charges in Punjab?

Registration cost in Punjab is higher than Islamabad. Islamabad don't have token tax for EVs.
Every province has its own rules for registration.
Advance tax is adjustable when filing tax.

That’s good to hear, but just saying that almost no car from a major carmaker will show issues at 40-60k kms. Specially not related to engine or transmission that an EV replaces. I would also expect BYD to last at least this much without issues as it’s not some Honri or glory .

Yes correct. I suggest you read this comment as well from the reddit thread I shared above. This owner have crossed 80,000 km with no issues so far.

The owner mentioning about Batman were the tires that BYD used to give initially before replacing it with Continental. They had crappy wet grip.

I got the email with the final payment voucher today and paid it. Now lets see how long it takes for the car to deliver. I am expecting 40 days.
