GWM Ora 3 is a small hatchback with a 48kw battery and the range on that car is also terrible.

Agreed with @runedrune . You cannot compare crossover range with sedan or hatchback. Crossovers usually less range just like ICE versions of CSUV have poor mileage. Better compare different C-Segment crossover EVs.

BYD Seal is the comparable car with Model 3.

Atto 3’s 60kwh battery does 420km..
Kia ev3 with 58kwh does 430km.

Peugeot e 3008 with 76kwh does 500km.. while 700km for 100kwh battery.

I understand it’s a function of battery capacity. I personally think batteries less than 60kwh in crossovers aren’t suitable for inter city travel.

I guess over 50kwh is taxed higher in Pak.

These are recently introduced in China. Right now 2 BYD models support this charging power with 2nd gen blade batteries. More models coming soon later this year.

BYD Surpasses Toyota in orders at the Bangkok Motor Show

During the 14-day 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, total orders reached 77,379 vehicles, an increase of 23,941 units compared to the previous year’s event, representing a year-on-year growth of 41.63%. Among them, BYD/Denza received a total of 10,353 orders (BYD 9,819 / Denza 534), ranking the first. Toyota ranks the second, and received a total of 9,819 orders.

If I or you don't want to buy this, doesn't mean no one wants to buy it. Many people have asked for the launch of Shark 6 and Sealion 6 in the WhatsApp group every now or then.

No idea what happened to Sealion launch plans. Maybe after this truck's launch or maybe as a CKD. I will post an update if I came to know anything.

I have no idea about the pricing of Shark 6. One thing I know is it was launched in Australia 4 months ago and it's killing Japanese and American trucks

How many Revos you have seen in Pakistan literally off-roading ? We all know what they are really used for.

Yes we all know what they're really used for, and BYD isn't going to fill that expectation. They should prioritize bringing Sealion.

Why don't you check his later video where he informed the Shark 6 he tested had alpha or beta software hence it had wheel spin during the climb.

well for you as a customer, its only a ''should''. For a company, its not just ''should'' but a lot more other factors. Sometimes, the parent company is charging higher due to parts availability, demand or regional orientations. The partners have to decide contractual terms for it. Pakistan is not a very catchy, lucrative market anyways. BYD is better off selling Sealion in markets they need to capture more aggressively than Pakistan

Sealion 6 will be viable once local assembly starts. As for now they may trying to take advantage of the reduced duties on commercial vehicle CBUs as the pickup truck can be categorized as such. My guess.

All depends on the pricing.

Trucks are not a huge market segment except when used by govt or for security. Extremely difficult to dent Revos market share, tried already by Isuzu and now Jac T9.

So pricing has to be competitive, less than a h6 hev.

What is its EV range? MG HS PHEV does around 50-60km, haven’t seen it fly yet in Pak.
