So far so good. Delivery was a bit delayed but given that this was their first release in this sector and also I was one of the first few people to get the car some delays were expected.
So far the car is meeting and exceeding all expectations and no issues so far. I am at 3000km+ as only office/home drive most of the time.
I recommend Atto3 for anyone not traveling to another town and battery is small (better than most others) but still not practical for out of city usage beyond 150km distance one way from full. Other models have better range.

No idea about plant.

Shares bought at this time usually have all these things priced in so for short-term maybe not that good return. For a year plus horizon it is fine as they launching charging infrastructure everywhere along the motorways and in the main cities.

Regarding dealership, some will be nearing their first service and getting their experience feedback can be very valuable. New commers mess that up a lot so lets hope we do not see that here. I am confident that there will not be huge amount of other issues at least in the CBU units as this is a good tested brand that is stretching all over the world.

How was the experience buying your car did you receive it on time?

Online booking of car was a smooth process. No issues face there. But it could be further automated.
Delivery was delayed by 2 months for me.

How is the experience with your car any faults yet?

No faults so far Alhamdulilah. Quality is top notch. I have not seen such quality in any of my previous purchases from big 3. This is the first time I moved away from big 3.

Would you recommend it to a someone else?

I can confidently recommend it to my family and friends.

Does anyone have a picture or any proof of how much or if the plant is being made?

It's in early stages. So far they are building walls. Factory competition will take time. Even though Mega is communicating mid of 2026 but IMO the factory will start operations in 2027. The factory is in Gharo 2 km away from Cafe Imran (a famous restaurant).

I totaly agree chines cars do have the features at good price (not including haval) I'm trying to see there reliability. I have a kia carnival and it is not reliable comparing to my revo. The parts are overpriced and almost everything. Seeing if byd has the same case, their cars will show their reliability in 4 plus years now we can't tell. Thank you soon much for your response.

Stocks are supposed to be held for long term but the problem is with mega/hubco their contracts got canceled. The main reason I'm looking to invest in them is because of the plant they are building. This company has the potential but I'm not satisfied from hubco. Like they said that they will launch charging infrastructure and it has been more then 6 months and they have actually only placed one charger. The plan that they said is made for i think around 3 years to place the chargers which is disappointing. Thank you for your time.

Aoa, BYD Seal owners. kindly share your experience on the Speaker system on the Seal given to the general public .I heard it was of lower quality than the imported test models.

There's no local assembled Seal. All variants are CBUs i.e. imported

Reliability of BYD is known. You can find many online reviews with more than 80k or 100k km driven and the vehicles are working fine with no major issues. The biggest reliability data you can find is from taxis in China.

Toyota using BYD tech in their PHEVs and EVs is also a good sign.

That doesn’t mean its parts won’t fail like suspension system, motor malfunctions, or parts getting damaged/stolen(it’s Pak). Even Toyota parts at one point need some replacement .

There needs to be a strong parts supply at affordable rate - a lot people going for EVs assume it requires no maintenance (lots of people fool new buyers using this terminology) but it’s a machine and does require regular maintenance for things like brake pads, all the different suspension parts, tires, steering system etc.

Overall there is no evidence that says its parts fail at a high rate. It seems fine .

I guess the discussion is not about normal wear n tear or factory defects.

After sales of mega is not known at the moment. Only time will tell how they will be able to perform in that department. I am guessing parts won't be cheap either. No new entrant is able to provide cheap parts and they will be available from service centers only. Cheap parts require years of existence in the market to strengthen the parts supply chain.

Cheap parts come from stolen vehicles that we call kabli to satisfy ourselves that we did no wrong. Over time they will be in the market like every other model. BYD is a massive player so I have more faith in official supply. Hubco is also big and they have hired some industry veterans too.
Less vibrations and moving parts means less maintenance. However, more electronics and gimmicks mean more repairs on that side. Surely a lot less issues than hybrids as they have a fast charge cycle on a smaller battery but have all other parts in compact space.

Drove a relative's BYD Atto 3 (Today 21-5-25). Good car BUT Why is the bloody Air Con crapping out already? Its not even summer proper yet?

Please check it's settings - needs to be in comfort mode with temp set at 24C or lower.

Thank you. Temp was as low as the thing will go IIRC. Mode i dont know. I'll do that over the weekend, the earliest i get to drive it again. Today, even an Alto seemed like a heaven inside the cabin as compared to the BYD (not joking).

A part of the issue i think is that center vents are too low; the air doesnt really reach my face from the central vents.

Hopefully putting it in comfort mode fixes the issue. Also, driving in eco mode tones down the ac

Air con setting should be set to Comfort, not to Eco.

Plus don't drive in Eco mode. AC performance in Eco drive mode is poor. Use Normal or Sports mode

Set fan speed to 4 or 5 and temp to 24 or less.

Apart from that, Atto's AC start cooling after 1~2 min. Not sure why there is delay. Some say it's due to AC compressor start cooling the batteries before it starts cooling the cabin
