BYD to ship Autopilot features across the entire lineup, from Seagull to Yangwang U8, in 2025

Starting from 2025, ADAS L2+ is now made a standard in whole BYD line from A-Segment Seagull hatchback to ultra luxury SUV Yanwang U8. Furthermore they have heavily invested in improving their ADAS system.

"The Shenzhen-based automaker is unchallenged in China’s EV sales but
lags in software, ADAS (advanced driver-assistance system), and smart
driving features. This might change in 2025 as the company has invested
in the software side of the vehicles over the last two years.

BYD cooperated with several ADAS providers, such as drone maker DJI or
Huawei, but it still offered advanced ADAS only in several EVs. In 2025,
the company is ready to ship its in-house developed ADAS algorithms
across the entire lineup, “from budget BYD Seagull to million-yuan Yangwang U8, ” according to a 36kr report."

I have high hopes from HUBCO Green on charging infrastructure installation. HUBCO Green is a partnership between HUBCO and PSO and they have plans to install EV chargers nation wide.

Even if we assume what you are saying is true, the research says EVs are still greener than gasoline vehicles even if they are powered with fossil fuels generated electricity. You can find references to multiple researches done by different universities around the globe.

Furthermore, controlling emissions in single location (power house) is much easier than trying to control in thousands of tail pipes (gasoline vehicles).

I can confirm their revenue is from drilling oil and gas well. I've been a ex key role in the drilling. So please don't spread wrong information.

According to Weibo, it’s reported that BYD has secured 1000 pre-orders for its Atto 3 model in the South Korean market. This comes just a week after the brand officially launched in the country.

On January 16, BYD officially launched in South Korea. Initially, the Atto 3 will be launched, and following on from the SUV will be the Seal sedan and Sealion 7 SUV. Deliveries of the Atto 3 to customers are expected to begin in mid-February.

The car is available in two configurations: Standard and Plus. Prices start at 31 million won (21,650 USD) for the Standard version, while the Atto 3 Plus is priced at 33 million won (23,050 USD).

It’s reported that 90% of the pre-orders have been for the Plus version. Sales of the Seal and Sealion 7 will begin later this year. BYD will likely monitor their reception before adding additional models to the market.

Saw an unregistered Seal parked outside an apartment yesterday in Lahore. Not sure if it was a self import but it was practically brand new, so not sure if it was one delivered by Mega.

Mega has started collecting balance payments from 23rd January. They called me couple days back and said my January delivery is now delayed to 3rd week of February.

The Seal you saw could be a display unit for flagship store which may open by the end of this month or in the first week of February.

Could be. But then again it was a weird place to park it instead of some office or warehouse storage. It was parked in plain sight in an apartment complex parking lot with other cars, and that to in a designated bay for an apartment.

Edit: Then again, Mega had already had the (mis)fortune of breaking the panoramic sunroof of one of their display units before the August event had have it fixed at a local workshop in Lahore so anything is possible.

Ive seen the Seal multiple times driving on Main Boulevard Gulberg since launch. It seems that have been using their import units extensively

Seems like they were lying until mid January that everything will be done within January. Deliveries as well as physical shops.

Now moved to February.

I called them yesterday and was told that for my March delivery I will get contacted in the first 10 days of March

Then your delivery will be in the first ten days of April because they ask for balance payment a month before the delivery. They are 1 month behind in deliveries.
