Caltex Xtended life coolant color query

Hi, in market caltex Xtended life coolant is available in two colors, orange and red.

I would like to know what is the difference between two. Any advantage of one over the other?

Both have exactly the same packing with no difference in anything. The only thing I found was that red ones have mostly manufactured date of around 2015 and orange ones 2017.

Orange is available for 700 and red for 800?

What is the difference? Any chance of being fakes? Caltex pds mentions orange color.

Caltec coolant i used is orange and when mixed with water gets a greenish tinge.

i think they have made changes in their formula, thats why colour of famous red caltex coolant is having greenish shade....

thats happening from the coolant trying to clean the old green stuff in there,

caltex is dexcool, when mixed with water it can be anywhere from rooh afza red to watermelon to pink to tang orange.

ok. but my query refers to concentrated coolant as packed in container. some bottles available in market have red as seem through bottle and some are orange-brownish type color.

check the UPC code and packing date,

I have bought this one from caltex authorized dealer. Haven't open it yet, will use it in a week or two, so can't comment on its color.

check the side of bottle where level markers are placed. if orange it would be light, otherwise it would be really dark color.

It is kind of pinkish/orange in shade but certainly not red.

looks like regular dexcool.

caltex coolant in Pakistan always has been this colour

Sorry for going off topic but A Question......

Can this coolant be used in a 1984 Nissan Sunny B11. The engine is an E13 i.e. 1300cc. The
car has the conventional copper radiator.

Can an aluminium radiator be fitted to the car without any alteration ? or should i just stick with the copper radiator.

I saw the same packaging at a reliable seller of Caltex Coolant. Same writing and color. Price approx Rs. 750. The seller was adamant then either go for the caltex coolant or invest in Toyota long life coolant. He said rest all coolants are either fake or just not that good quality,

yes it can be used - be very sure to first clean out the cooling system.

What is the pink toyota coolant based on ? is it also dexcool. Can it be used in alto vxr or will it cause problems in the engine or radiator.

Toyota uses aluminium engine and aluminium radiator so does that mean it wont work on iron engines or copper radiator ?

ideally you use a hybrid OAT coolant in dissimilar metal engines but this dexcool works nicely too.

The toyota super long life pink is also dexcool. no problems occur using it in suzuki products unless the mechanic drains it away on the ground.

yes. it looks like this when viewed directly. When viewing from bottle however, it appears to be kind of red, see the pictures. while some of the bottles available in market have light orange kind of color when viewed from bottle

best colour is checked through a clear glass container, not by dabbing on paper. The bottle side view is tinted gray and is a bit opaque. The colour should be dark orange inside.

You are right, but look at the difference between both sample bottles.

The reason I said to check in glass container is because the bottles may have a different shade on the side level, It happens if the bottle supplier changed.

Or if you have really serious doubts - dont buy this one.
