Cam setting through distributor positioning

Dear all, please tell me what happens when the distributer position is rotated from this point? There are two screw types which are undone, and the distributor is rotated clockwise/anti and cam is set...what does this thing mean? What should be position for petrol and cng? Plz elaborate

Ignition Timing is adjusted by moving distributor clockwise / anti-clockwise..
I think by moving it anti-clockwise the timing is retarded and by moving it clockwise it's advanced.

So what does it mean w.r.t mileage on cng and petrol? Also, what effect on pick of car?

This is for 3 cylinder engine, the EFI cultus in Pakistan has four cylinders plus it does not have vacuum advancer.

For CNG timing is kept a bit advance. Advance timing usually increases the pick of a car to a certain point and also might increase the idle rpm, you will have to allow the ECU to relearn the idle. But this will also cause knocking on petrol when engine is under load. For increased mileage maybe a little advance would help.

I think you'll need a timing gun for this. Do note that it's an expensive tool

Yes. And it can be done with the help of an ECU scanner too.

If I would you, would definitely go with Suzuki dealership for timing because no one can adjust it better.
