ahsanmq thanx but the prb is that my car hit da green belt at 140 n driver side k dono tyre thoray se bahir ko aa gai hain. allignment guy is saying dat it will take 2 to 3 hours for both front n rear camber adjustment n cost would be 1200. i got confused n returned home without having dat adjustment

are u getting camber wear on your tires? is your car lowered? camber and caster problem usually occur if you lower ur car on a stock suspension. as a result, there is less shock travel on the spring and since ur car is lowered..the centre of gravity becomes greater.

it improves handling but ur tires get the brunt of it. to get rid of camber...u need a camber kit. there are special kits of every car and u need a set for the front and back.

if you are not lowered....and if your tires are being chewed from one side...its not camber...its ur alignment.

its a 96civic hit green belt at 140.if u see both tyres of drv side they seems to be slightly outward in direction frm top and inside frm bottom.szuberi plz help me out n read the previous replies thanx in advance

what do u mean...u hit a green belt at 140? im not familiar with what a green belt is? did u hit something on the road?

actually it is a divider between two road sides

ok...green belt or the median..whatever.

well...thats not good news. that might have caused some damage to the suspension. your control arms and damper fork may have been twisted...but im guessing only.

have the guy take off the wheels on the side u hit...and check the condition of all suspension parts there. do it before its late....1200 is cheap...have it done.

if u go for wheel alignment later on...have it done on all four wheels.

i have checked all da stuff every thing is fine.so the mech is asking for only camber n allignment +wheel balancing.te thing is dat wat is camber?wat is its adjustment

wel bro its rly v imp things to ve a proper camber adjumstment coz by having a proper camber adjusment of ur car u can ve a v smooth drive..
i ve adjusted my civic`s camber from.
MODREN MOTORS MACLEOD ROAD NEAR LAHORE HOTEL..
they r very expert in suspesion works..

BTW

cambring is in increments of 0.2 degrees, and each setting is indexed by a bolt, so there is no chance of slipping and no guess about which setting is selected. The adjustment range is from 1.0 degree positive (for returning lowered cars to stock alignment settings), to 3.0 degrees negative.

Adjusting the settings is quick and easy. Simply jack the car off the ground, loosen the three allen head bolts, choose your new camber setting, and re-tighten the bolts.

Those specs are for the TVR Mseries chassis (such as the tuscan) & they should NOT be followed for adjusting the camber on a civic.
