Can I get a car for around 1 lac rupees?

I am looking for a car for under/around 1 lac rupees? And to be reasonably in good working condition, both body and interior wise with Islamabad registration. Am I dreaming? Alto...Fx...charade....Corona...Racer..anything.....Its a project that I would be working on.

Dude I am working on the same project, Impossible to get a CNG-AC car in 1 Lac. Anyways Get Fx for around 90 or so get a second hand CNG Kit with a smaller cylinder size. But still with repairs etc u will end up spending 125-130K.
Damn hard to find Cheap Good Cars (REPEAT)

I can point you to alot of beetles in and around that price range.

but i thik there should be more on offer, sadly our people think the mehranis made of gold or something and refuse to let the market price fall to a reasonable level.

In the UK i could get you a MKII Golf Gti for that kind of money.... go figure

Artificial reduced supply say used car prices bhaut hight hain pakistan main. we wanted to buy a car in pakistan and our neighbour was selling a cultus 2004(one year used)and he was asking the price of new car. suzuki tu jis kay pass hai woh, aus kay pass jaisay gold hai.
yaar samaj nahi aati kay toyota indus aur atlas honda nay last 5-7 years main capacity increase nahi kii. yeh tu month nahi days kii job hai. phir bhi Awam koo itna Choona aur TEEKA(teeka bhi woh cow wala) 2.0D par last year 2lakh on tha aub pata nahi kitna hai. lainay walay bhi bewakoof hain. oh bhai kitni save karooo gaiy gas aur diesel kay diff. main joo 2 lakh on day rahay hoon. par yaar aun koo koon samjay. real esatate aur business main loogon nay itna paisa bana liya hai kay 2 lakh is nothing for them.

Anyways working on a second car for me wife so that she can learn to drive.
Anyways dude dont get something that you cant find parts of and cant get repaired. The worst thing is about a car is, if it breaks down in the middle of a journey , v.v.v.painfull.
So get a car that you can get easily repaired etc.

@akbar: In your hectic schedule how do you find time to browse thru this webiste? Anyway, its good to hear from you. I have advertised Blue Alto in this coming Sunday's newspapers and am quite hopeful for its disposal for around 575. I had pended the sale of Red alto because I was not getting much for that and I had to add a lot for the Blue one.

@ spectra. Let me check from ETO Islamabad the "service charges" of the Inspectors/dealing clerk for transferring Peshawar Number to Islamabad. Will revert to you. In the meantime, I would be grateful if I could have a look at the FX.

@ All: I am not a fan of foxy therefore that car is out. Yes, FX, Alto, Charade and Mazda 616, 808 can be managed.

Daewoo of the confiscated variety should be avialable for 1 lac. But, as someone said workshop going...

Some day a Kia Classic will be for 1 lac.

I am getting myself a Toyota Corona Mark II in around 90k (Engine: 2C). (just cause it has duplicate papers). Doesn't bother me. and it doesn't get cheaper than this. Mark II can be found in scrap condition too, You will have to put a lot on it to make it work, but it will be worth it.
