hi,
i need a help. when i seelct any file it only selects the file but deosnt open it . on clicking any file in file manager just marks it with green tick and nothing else. how should i install apk file?/

clicking ne apk file jst mark it with green and agan clicking it de select it.

plz help

multiple file select option is enabled thats why app is not installing and just selecting.

ii sorted out by selecting the selection option one more time. after that when i clicked on apk file it installed youtube successdully

there is no solution because ptcl have blocked apk installation on this model but if you manage to get a new box then it is possible. I request several time to ptcl that please change my box with new 2017 box but they said that you have to pay 5000 Rs. again so i called my line man and he arranged new box for me and i paid him 500 Rs. chai pani lol.

Hello all
@umairahmedmalik i have this device and had been enjoying smart YouTube tv app since dec 2017. It is running very well and it is quite useful and nice app.
Suddenly today morning the firmware automatically updated and unfortunately all apps has stopped. I called the customer helpline and the agent said... Dear you can enjoy only inbuilt apps and the 3rd party apps are not allowed hereafter, a customer feed back is required to restore such services.
Please tell me if any one of you is facing the same so collectively we can make some noise.

@pwuser152257102737 probably chal jaye ga lekin uska koi khass faida nahi. you'll lose ptcl smart tv functionality. agar smart tv disconnect kerwa diya hai aur sirf box para hai tou phir sense banti hai.

Clearly the new update blocks all third party apps. Will have to see if there is a way around this. Definitely won't be a simple straight forward fix. They have also locked down the settings section with a password. You can no longer turn on wifi

Yup, they made it very complicated to-be broken off, btw the password for getting into by default is 8288. i have trying to use several file explorer apps to get the icons of app out to main menu. But unfortunately failed. You can only run up once after installing when it says done or open. after existing the icon to run app disappears but it still shows in application manager that application is installed.

Yup! i face the same thing ! I installed a couple of Apps aptoide & ES File Explorer (,Apk) with USB But can't find its Icon visible in the App section. Still Trying to sort out (will Update if Solved),
