Can i spray paint a lip spoiler with a of a blk car

hi guys i just a bought a fiber lip sopiler for my civic i ve asked the painter how much will he charge for the paint he 's asking 3 times more then the or cost of the spoiler i mean that is ridiculous so i was wondering since my ride is black why not spray paint it at home i mean it will only cost 100 and i think it will be the same quality as the painter will do it so what u guys think should i give it a try ...

If you plan on painting it in matte black, then go for it. Glossy finish can be obtained by either using the gloss finish black or spraying clear coat over matte black but I would advise against gloss black because it would get ruined due to sunlight and the weather as these paints are not much uv and heat resistant. So matte black would be the way to go since it hides imperfections and lasts alot longer. If you can find the brand 'Bosney', that would be best. Goodluck.

well spraying 100 rupee paint can will never matched with your car color ..
dont do it ..
find some cheap painter and get cheap paint ... u just need to match the color of spoiler with ur car thats it ..

@owais younis : sorry for off topic, but how much does a clear coat spray cost?? is it also cost rs 100?? and were do they sell at? regular paint shops?

@scorpian: ur wrong. u can actually do a very good finnish ur self as well.....I once repainted a guitar and that went really good....

How about pasting the CF sheet on the spoiler rather than painting it. IMHO it'll look awesome.

I agree with you too. but OP is looking for a cheap solution which is 100rs or so. the carbon fibre sheet is quite pricey.

@faiz. The clear lacquer costs around 100-150 and yes it'll be available at paintshops

either use the cf sheet or get it painted form some other painter ,, a paint job should cost by max 500rs if matalic paint,,, those paint cans wont work as its soft paint and doesnt contain hardner it will scratch easily and start to come off in a few days,,, there are painters who charge less i.e got a cultus bumper painted for 1000 rs and a acceptable job,,, considering the area of a lip spoiler it should cost less then 400 ,,

dont do it. first of all it wont match in colour. secondly it contains thinner thus if any spray paint touches the original paint it will ruin the finish.

Bro can you tell me from where did u get the cultus bumper painted for 1000 as painters are asking for 1500 plus 500 for denter labor...
