Can i switch toyota engine oil with zic oil?

I have toyota corolla XLI 2016. currently i am using Zic 5w-20 engine oil. Total millage of car is 65k. Can i replace this oil with Toyota oil or not? which oil is best in between ZIC and TOYOTA?

You can change between the oils but try to stick to Toyota genuine oil. Otherwise any other good quality oil will do.

Well, first of all, yes you can switch oil brands. Secondly I would not recommend Xw-20 grade of any brand for XLI, rather I'll recommend Xw-30 grade. Thirdly, I would choose Zic over Toyota oil simply because of the fact that Toyota oil (talking about the 5w-30 grade) is semi synthetic.

Brother if the engine oil, brand, grade, etc. is working absolutely fine, and you are not facing any issues with the engine or engine oil, IMO, you may continue using it, however:

Toyota is good, but Total is better than ZIC IMO!

5w30 is not the recommended oil for these engines.

Any 0w20 fully synthetic is a good choice. I understand that you're using Total Quartz, but it's not "the best".

All oils available locally guaranteed to be genuine are the best. This includes ZIC. Toyota (from dealership). Shell.

So @uolian go for 0w20 fully synthetic with any brand available locally like Shell or Zic or Total or Valvoline -- they're all equally good. Go for the one that costs you less among these.

5w30 is much more thicker and not recommended for these engines. Toyota official manuals says only pour 5w30 if 0w20 is not available and change back to 0w20 at next oil change.

These multi-grade fully synthetic oils are suitable for all temperature ranges.

0w20 fully synthetic from any local brand to make sure the oil is engine.

Shell, Zic, Total, Toyota (if available at dealership).

As mentioned in one of my posts above, if the ZIC A+ 5w-20 engine oil; the brand, grade, etc. is working absolutely fine, and you are not facing any issues with the engine or engine oil, IMO, you may continue using it. No problem!

Either stick with ZIC A+ 5w-20 if its working absolutely fine, or, switch to Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30. Not much difference between these 02 oil grades.

In 5w-30, I believe no other oil brand offers more value to money than Total Quartz 9000 Future series.

It is not local but imported from Japan in tin pack. Few dealership have it. You have to specifically ask for it.
